Do I have to do anything special to delete stock pics from my phone in p2k commander or can I just delete them?

You can just delete them. I used Bitpim for mien, and no problems. I even deleted the pic that I had set as my background and it was all fine. Normally, if u delete a ringer that is associated with a ring detail, u will lose your ring details and take some steps to recover them. Pics and those dumb .ran files can go as fast as u can get rid of them :D

    V3m Vibe then Ring icon

    Hi all,

I enabled Vibe then Ring and love it. One thing that annoying me is an icon with green background in the outside LCD. The icon at inside LCD has white background. Does anyone have the same problem and is there any way to make it with white background?

    Thanks,

Re: V3m Vibe then Ring icon

There is no way around this. Its funny b/c everyone who does this seem edit thinks that by doing it, they made that bar show up. In fact, if u had just a regular v3m, and u turned your phone to silent, it would have the same bar covering up the date. The only way to avoid it is to have your phone on "loud"...whether u have done the seem edit or not. I laughed when I would read people un-doing the seem edit, and wondering why that status bar still covers up the date :lmao:

EDIT: I just re-read your question, no I dont believe there is a way to change it to a white background to match the bar. I will look thru some of the .bar files on the phone and see if i can get anything to change.

    Re: RAZR V3m

Hi! I was told you had a step by step procedure for V3m users who can't get their phone sync'd with WMP 10... Could you please point me to it? I believe you had a new patch or INF. Much appreciated!!

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

New V3m owner here. I've tried reading through all the posts and haven't seen this question asked yet so hopefully someone here can help me out.
I'd like to be able to sync the calendar in my razr with the datebook from my Sony clie. I've seen lots of references to being able to sync with Outlook but alas, my clie datebook is managed by Palm Desktop and exports as a .dba file. Has anyone come up with a simple way to do this?
Using all the helpful advice here and at motov3m.com, I've done all the normal seem edits and have MPT, P2KSeem, and Bitpm working.
    Thanks!

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Too hard to search in this thread for what I want..

My question is if there is an edit I can do to allow for more variety in the volume selections for the vcast music player....right now the lowest volume, well...isn't too low lol.

I've already done all the seems I want and fooled around w/ bitpim and mpt and the #0setup* settings, so I'm used to editing stuff by now.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Have you done the seem edit to enable the Moto UI ring styles? It changes the ringer levels from low-hi, to 1-7. Have u dont that seem edit yet? If not, you can do that as well as enable the ring THEN vibe function. Here is the link to the seem edit: http://www.motov3m.com/tiki-index.php?page=SEEM

It is the 2nd and 3rd seem edits on the list.

Ya, I've done that already, but it seems to be only for the ringer, not for the volume control in the vcast music player.

Na, it does both, at least on mine anyways. Maybe its the quality of your ringers? B/C I can get mine low enough where I can barely hear it, butthen again...maybe I am more deaf than you ;)

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Hmm...ya....I dont know...mine may have some levels that go to higher volumes, but the volume with one notch is quite audible, then putting it down to no notches makes it completely gone......it's kind of annoying when I just want to study with some tunes lightly going in the background....cause this thing just blares em.

Hmm..I'll check my seems again to make sure I did the right one.

    Any other input?

Nothing else I can think of. If your ringer volume goes from 1-7, then u have it set up correctly.

I got the razrv3m last week.. im planning on getting a 1gig mem.card for music-playing but i wanted to know which kit is better: the Music Essentials Kit from Verizon which i hear has faulty software kits circulating like recalled American vegetables; or the Motorola Phone Tools pack? I dont know much about seem-editing and am truly only concerned about the efficiency of the music player as well as how the batterylife is effected when using the v3m for music playback.

Yep, Yankees do need pitching. Oh well, they decided to go out and overpay for Abreu, hows that workin out for ya? Dont even waste yyour time or money on the music essentials kit. Yo ucan download the usb drivers for free and use WP10 or WMP11 to sync your music. You could get it to use the headphones, but I just picked up an adapter to use my regular headphones with it. GET MPT (motorola phone tools). It will come with the usb cable if u have it shipped. You will need it more than likely if u want to create and send ringtones to your phone. As u know, u will need to perform seem edits, but they are very simple if you do a litttle research and follow easy directions. Battery life sucks on the phone when using it as a media player...but thats what the ipod is for.

    Hi -

I've been looking for an adapter to use my normal headphones, too. Where did you get yours? Any recommendations? Do you use it with the little dongle thing (miniUSB adapter) that came with the phone?

    Thanks a ton!

Yea, I use the dongle that came with my phone. Problem is that only accepts a 3/32" plug, and most headphone plugs are 1/8". So I went to radio shack and bought this. It works perfectly for me. Pay attention though and dont buy the one that converts stereo into mono or vice versa. I had to return the 1st one I bought. You could also get this if you want to connect two sets of headphones to the same phone. (it requires a little wiggling to get true stereo in both sets)

    Re: RAZR V3m

    Ack!!! The tutorial's unavailable.

I have a V3M. I can't get it to sync with Windows XP, let alone try to get it to work with my Mac at home.

I just want to be able to pull the pictures I took with it OFF of it without paying verizon for the priviledge. I can handle using the micro SD card for the mp3s (have to convert from AAC to M3 to WMA, but that's the least of my worries. I just want to be able to pull the pictures I've taken off the phone. I'd love to put pictres back on, but BitPim only lets me pull down and it only sees it as a V3C and won't connect. i can't edit and put back.

Here, try Mark's site. He has everything nicely organzied. http://mark.cdmaforums.com/1-USBDriverV3M.htm If u want virtually full access to your phone, you should look into MPT and doing a few simple seem edits, you will wonder why u didnt do it sooner.

So I'll have to buy MPT, won't I?

BitPim keeps failing despite using DriverTool and the latest driver, it still doesn't see the phone as anything but a V3c. I've tried the alternatives of trying it as a V710 and v710M but no joy.

Where can I buy a copy of MPT then?

Thanks Cincyball.. By the way Abreu is not the problem.. they need new blood, and im guessing your a redsox fan so your october wasnt much better.. well see you next year im sure tho..

But..Does it matter which MPT kit i purchase bc MPT v.4 is $50 and MPT deluxe is cheaper.. Im guessing the newest software is worth the extra $ bc it will work out the bugs of previous releases

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

No, I just meant they decided to trade/acquire more bats instead of getting the pitching they needed. The Sox ran into an unfortunate injury run. When 4 of your 5 starters that you began your season with were on the DL, u cant recover from that, especially in the AL, and moreso, in the AL East.

Anyhow, I dont think it matters which one u get. I bought mine online as I already had the usb cable. So i just bought it for like $20 +/- and just updated it to the newest version, and all is perfectly fine. If u need usb cable with it, id say find it as cheap as possible. Visit http://mark.cdmaforums.com/V710_MPT.htm to read more about it. On there he mentions 2 codes u can use for discount, they work as I used them. Take care.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

the yankees had more injuries and at the very start of the season so lets not use that as an excuse especially because your injuries took place AFTER they were swept in a 5 game series.. the 5 game series sunk Boston and not the injuries.. yankees were able to come back from their injuries, the sox caved in.. so lets not be delusional here.. we all know the sox will be back to form next year, but maybe without manny who was a real heroic figure sitting out games bc he didnt care. and we didnt overpay abreu bc we needed a bat & hell be here for 5 years after we drop sheffields money.. i bet a million $$$ that boston fans wish Theo went out & got Abreu bc they needed a bat too.. but he didnt & dont tell me the Red Sox couldnt afford it.. pleaseee

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

now that ive vented about the putrid showing the yankees had in the '06 postseason.. I was wondering if anybody knows if it is a bad idea or if there would be any major conflicts/problems if i were to install MPT software .. im not sure if setting up such software will cause a harmful interaction with anything Ive done with the Music Essentials Kit i bought from Verizon..

the music kit worked fine but the only problem is that i cannot sift through songs too easily bc you have to skip foward or backward one song at a time ((problematic bc i have 200 songs on my mem.card)), does anyone know a way to get from song 1 to song 60 without pressing the skip button 59 times???

Yea, use wmp10 to put the music on by artist/album/genre, whatever u want. Then go into Manage Music and browse music by whatever u are searching for. Or, create playlists so u can listen to ur fave's.

As for MPT, it wouldnt harm a thing. You will need to do some seem edits to get it working perfectly, but its a great tool.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

It's eerie how shortly after reading the posts about yankees needing pitching, I read that the yankees pitcher died.

But about my razr. Has anyone noticed that the icon indicating an accessory has been plugged in comes on at random? It's rather annoying and it only goes away when I restart the phone.

Also, I'm still curious about how to transfer videos from my phone to my computer WITH sound.

And of course, I'm still trying to figure out how to silence the low battery notification.

    Any takers?
