    Did anyone ever figure out how to remove the verizon logo before the animated startup?

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    You will have to SEEM the phone.

    Motorola Animation on Shutdown
    offset = 0031
    bit = 1
    setting = 0 (0 means unchecked, check to inable)

    Motorola Animation on Startup
    offset = 001d
    bit = 3
    setting = 0 (0 means unchecked, check for "logo only")

    page 28 post 828 gives some specks on what the animation size, etc.. should be

    See page 25 post 729 for more help

    check this site also: http://www.motov3m.com/

    Hey Workhors, could you please use the 'period' once or twice to keep your thought manageable?

    To ALL in this forum, I have also been lurking for the last two weeks and with your help, I've completely customized my V3m and taken off every bit of unwanted 'Verizon' advertising, except for the pack battery cover.

    My hat is off to you especially RWSRICHARD for all that you have done!!!!

    Thank you!!!!

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    It sounds like either:

    1.) you did not click on the 'save to phone' button AFTER you made the SEEM changes OR

    2.) you have to turn off phone for a few seconds in order for changes to take effect OR

    3.) you did turn on/off the right bits.

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    I want to say thanks for all the help with my v3m phones. We have 3 in our home & I have ran seem edits successfully on all of them over the course of the past 3 or 4 weeks. I have pretty much done all that I care to do with them. Changed the outer screen when phone is opened, same as wallpaper when closed, replaced the verizon banner with my own name on the inside screen, replaced startup/shutdown music, replaced startup/shutdown .gif. I used this site for the animation http://www.prodraw.net/animation/
    Got motorola graphics on startup/shutdown. Got rid of all the verizon default, locked pix. The only thing that erks me is when I power the phone on, I still get the verizon logo before the animation starts up. That is the only thing verizon that I cant figure out how to get rid of. I just plug the adapter that came with micro sd card into my tower and load up wav songs that way. No biggie. This is just a thank you to all that have helped me out so much. This page was also a big help

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    I have a V3m phone and have been doing seem edits. All the edits work flawlessly except for the ones to turn on the ringers. whenever I do the seem edit for that and then reboot my phone, the seem edit reverses itself back to the way it was. Its like it wont allow me to save the seem edit for those. Has anyone ran across this yet? :loony:

    I am trying to get my Verizon v3c to link via bluetooth with my Palm, Tungsten T5. This feature is disabled by Verizon. I understand that you can reset the firmware to enable this feature. Can anyone tell me exactly how to go about this?

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    SEEM you phone and seeif the following SEEM is set to on (checked)

    For Bluetooth OR USB file transfering MPT and E815 BT QBEX
    offset = 006a
    bit = 0
    setting = 1 or on

    Special NOTE for V3C phones.
    It will NOT work if your firmware version is .03 ... VZW has graciously taken it upon theirselves to take this function totaly out of that version of the firmware.

    Hope that helps.

    I wasn't talking about the startup and shutdown sounds. I was talking about adding the ringtones like continental and moonlit haze.

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    I was wondering if you would share how you got rid of the verizon logo @ the very beginning of startup just before the animation kicks in? I have got the motorola animation working and also have a customized animated .gif on startup & shutdown. This is the only verizon add that I have not removed from my phone other than the battery cover. thanx

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    Hey guys....I want to say thanks for all the help. I chose not to post things like "Stupid question, but...." and " I looked through the whole thread and..." because using this forum and the V3M wiki answered all of my questions.
    So that being said, I was able to google for MPT and found v3.11 and then did all the incremental updates, and have it successfully work! Then I was able to download and install BitPim and have it successfully work using no other instructions than the ones posted here.
    The only question I have is other than using BitPim, is there a "no brainer" way of transferring pics from the phone to your computer? I have a couple of clients that have V3M's and they have asked how to do this using only the mini USB cable. The only way that I can do this (easy for me, however clients are older) is to use BitPim. Any thoughts?

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    hey richard, your xls for all of the seems is not working for me, its just a wirelessadvisor.com site with nothing else in it saying that i am not logged in etc...

    Also, another thing i was curious if you can do is post links to ALL of the gif animation sites that you have... so hard to find a really good one that fits my tastes.

    thanks for ALL of ur help btw.

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    You have to have some kind of software, BitPim, MPT, etc..., that can read the phones tree structure in order to do this.

    Do not know of any other way, at least not yet.
