    WiLLy2900, good to hear from you.

    Could it have something to do with

    Custom Animation on Startup (must be set in seem 0207/0209)
    offset = 0046
    bit = 0
    setting = 0 (0 means unchecked)

    still cannot find/figure out how to get to seem 0207/0209. or if it even has anything to do with it.

    And you did SEEM all three (3) offsets, right?

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    Willy, seems you and I have the same problem. I have the motorolla startup and shutdown animations turned off and I have overwritten the verizon startup and shutdown animation gifs with a static picture (because I don't know how to make an animation). The shutdown is perfect. It shows my picture for a second and then turns off (it turns off about 3 seconds faster than it did with the animation). On startup, however, I see the verizon wirless logo for about 10 seconds, then my picture for a second or so before the phone finishes booting. I can't for the life of me figure out how to access seem 0207/0209 if they exist.
    I'm currently trying to find out where the gif for the verizon logo is located so I can replace it. The problem is that the obvious choice was verizon.gif but that is for the outside lcd.

    Read on other forums/threads that they found 3 common gifs.

    customer_opening.gif
    customer_closing.gif
    verizon.gif

    Sound like you have an internet problem or something, because you are the only one I have heard about that it did not update.

    Try rebooting system and reinstall.

    I think u guys misunderstood... i have the Original Verizon boot up and shut down loaded on my phone in the correct dir. and the sounds for shutdown and loading are the verizon default...i went to replace them for "aftermarket" images (deletred them and went to put the ones i wanted) but the phone rebooted before i put the ones i wanted on now i put the original ones back on with sounds...the sounds work like sapoused to BUT the images do not show up...i think there is a ini file or something that needs to be editied from when they got deleted and the phone rebooted somehow before appling new ones

    Did you by chance use BitPim or MPT to back up your phone? If you did, would a restore work, then go from there?

    the way i made a back up was by saving the files i didnt save the whole tree and after i saved them they got deleted and the phone shut off after booting on and off with no gif files i wont show any animations anymore (they are all back in the phone in right locations but still wont play)

    Do not have AIM.

    Create you a temp email account - one of the reasons I use AOL. PM me the account and I will email it to you. I have a 10meg restriction so I am will within that.

    Delete the account after we are finished.

    Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

    hi. i am new to this site. i just got my phone 2 days ago and am intrested in getting those "locked features". however i am not that computer savy but the howard forums posting seems to be dummy proof. all the seem edits are posted all through out this site and i am wondering does some one have one comperhensive list of em with discrptions of what it does?

    In the end i just want to change some minor things like add music n ringtones with out verizon vcast. and change outside lcd
    also did anyone incounter problems in which ur phone was left unsuable becuase u did this seem editing? (im kinda worried)
    do i need to buy anything besides the usb cable to transfer music once i seem edit? mobile phone tools etc?
    thnx for the help

    Try pg 18 post 539 and pg 20 post 584 for help with BitPim. This is a FREE product off the Internet.

    Try pg 13 post 389; pag 14 post 397; pg 15 post 436, 446 and 449 for help with SEEMing.

    If you buy Motorola Phone Tool (MPT), it comes with a cable, else you will have to get the cable.

    There is also a MPT with Bonus items. It does more than the regular MPT. I am not quite sure about the Bonus Name, but it is posted on this thread.

    It will get a little slower depending on what you activate. But it is really minimal.
