Thanks MobilePrincess....I would like to ask you what you think of the LG enV VX-9900.Since I see you have it.I'm thinking about it to.The new orange one.And how does it compare to the LG 8300?Because I have that phone right now. Thanks for your help.
I wonder if it still has the famous motorola verizon bug where if your on the line with someone and someone elses calls you, it sometimes shows up as UNAVAILABLE mean while the number showed up before...
My guess based on the features and specs of this handset as compared with other "like" models, is that it will be $199.99 after a $50 MIR with a 1 yr. agreement, and $149.99 after a $50 MIR with a 2 year agreement.
No problem mr green eyes.... I've had my LG enV for two months, and I still love every thing about it. IMHO the enV is one of their best phones. The reviews for it are still just as high now as the day that it was released. Some of the things that I like about the LG enV are; great reception and call quality, awesome picture quality from its 2.0 MP camera, easy to text message on with the QWERTY keyboard, great battery times (I have the EV-DO set to off), great build quality, ringers are loud enough to wake the dead, Verizons new UI menu, no dropped calls even in a low signal area.....I just wish LG would have included the ability to use the speaker phone with the phone closed.... The enV and the 8300 are almost the same except for the Camera and the keyboard...I like my enV a little more than my 8300 even though it is a little bigger. Here are two other sites in which to compare other user reviews for the LG enV; 1) LG enV VX-9900 Reviews (Phone Scoop) 2) LG enV (VX9900, black) Reviews. Cell Phones Reviews by CNET. Best wishes, ~ Ellen
MobilePrincess how is the Vibrate on the LG enV? I need it for work.Because I would never here it.Thats one thing I love about the LG 8300.Its very strong. Also can you download your own music for ring tones or do you have to buy from Verizon? I thank you again for all your help. The three phones I'm looking at as you know is the Razr 2, EnV and the Blackberry Curve.Thats if Verizon gets the Curve. From what I've read its a great phone. Richard
Hi Mr green eyes, The Vibrate on my enV is the same as the Vib on my Lg 8300. You will have no problems feeling the Vibrate on the enV whether you keep it in your pocket or on a belt clip. As for ring tones, I know it can be done, but I haven't tried it yet on my enV. Some of the information in this tread may help explain how to do this. http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/verizon-wireless-users/63049-verizon-no-longer-lets-you-email.html Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck with your decision.
Phonescoop already has this phone listed as coming to Verizon. Once a phone has been listed as going to one of the carriers on that site, it usually isn't long after that, and the phone gets released. Motorola RAZR2 V9m Specs & Features (Phone Scoop)
Are you serious? You do realize that phone releases have nothing to do with phonescoop and what's posted on there? That said, I am not suggesting that the device will never come to VZW, but rather that the released date/time could be interrupted by the Qualcomm/Broadcom fiasco. Slightly off-topic: Why is the RAZR 2 V9m only Rev.0? VZW's entire EV-DO network is Rev.A now. I would think that they would push for Rev.A devices.
Absolutely agree. Off the top of my head I can think of four phones within the last year that phonescoop had listed the carrier, 3 of them were drastically late and one never made yet. Let's hope that the V9 is an exception.
I don't think it will be an exception as Fractured said, with the whole Broadcomm/Qualcomm thing the chips in the phone may be some of the effected ones that can't be imported into the US right now. Hopefully that's not the case & the phone will be released, but I really don't see it happening for a while & like you said Charlyee they have shown phones that were to be released to a carrier & it was backed out of before the release.
"Anticipation is growing as Motorola fans are waiting for the release of the upcoming RAZR 2 V9m. This week, the interactive manual made its way to the Verizon website, which seems to confirm that the phone will make a July release, as stated by Motorola." Published on: July 12, 2007, by Phone Arena Team. Link: Motorola RAZR2 V9m on Verizon website (phone Arena)
Wirelessly posted (LGE-VX9900/1.0 UP.Browser/6.2.3.2 (GUI) MMP/2.0) Charlee, the link doesn't work because Verizon removed the online manual for this handset from their website.
Ah, I see! Thank you. So does that necessarily mean that the V9m is not happening in the near future? Just curious!
You know what I dont think so it could mean that they didnt mean to put it up so early. Or it could mean that they found errors. Or yeah I guess it could mean that they were just teasing you and that you have to wait until december lol.
Thats my guess I think maybe just before this time period. I wonder if this had anything to do with the Qualcomm/Broadcomm issue & the fact the chips couldn't come into the US & they may have been for this phone. Now that Verizon made a deal with Broadcomm, I guess we will see if it comes out by September.
V9m received preliminary technical acceptance in late June. That just leaves general ship acceptance which requires final packaging, manual, etc. That can't happen until the phone can be imported. Once ship acceptance happens it is usually another 1-2 weeks before web only sales are available. With the delay in patent dispute it may happen faster if Moto has a huge supply ready to go.
