darn, I have to wait until November to even start to think of getting one
I stuck till November too.
They might have a rev a. version out by then. Of course I'm sure Verizon will have an exclusive on that for 6 months though....
speaking of rev. a, is most of Alltel's ev-do their turning on now rev.a?
Right now I'm not sure. I believe rev a. is a small change to make from rev o.......
Has anyone played with one of the Alltel Q's yet?? Tommorow I'm going to Alpena and I'm planning on visiting Alltel's Corporate store to check out the Q.
I've just received mine and will follow up with a review. It seems pretty cool. It's the dark gray color.
Doesn't Sprint have the dark gray one also? That be cool to get a first hand review of the Alltel Q!
I completely agree. I've been seriously considering getting a Q and putting my E815 up on eBay. Work has really been picking up lately and I think it's about time to make the move, but then again I'm also trying to talk myself into it.
I've had one since Tuesday. So far so good. This is my first WM phone, so it has taken some getting used to, but I really like it.
One thing I love is that voice overrides data. If I'm in the middle of a data session, the system will pause and allow the call through. If I ignore the call it will go right back to what I was doing data-wise. That's nice considering the data seems to awake from hibernation quite a bit.
The biggest downside so far is the battery. Plan on getting one day out of the battery with moderate or a little above moderate use. I've been told it might improve after a few charge cycles, but we'll see.
Yes, for a few minutes I played with a friend-of-mine's. I don't need a Q but now I really, really want one.
No, I thought Sprint had a black one.
Sprint's is the same color as Alltel's.
Well yesterday I went to the local Alltel store and played with the Moto Q for about 10 minutes. I liked it alot. The silk-like rubber housing was cool and the phone itself I thought was very responsive. I know once my contract expires I'm going to get the Moto Q! But my question is, is why Alltel doesn't put a logo on their phones??
I suppose that's true. I guess AT&T is the only US carrier with the black Q.
AT&T?? Don't you mean Verizon?
Ooops... Yeah. Sorry, the Blackjack is black and I know that the only GSM Q's that I have seen have been black. Wasn't thinking straight.
