Apparently, it was available yesterday (who knew?) on the website. The KRZR, according to this article won't be available at Verizon stores until October 5th, which is the same day Alltel will offer the handset.

VZW is having some BAD problems right now. When I click on the link, I get a blank page that says 'done' down on the bottom. 8-refreshes later, still getting the same blank-page.

What a turnaround after the year long wait for the original razr they beat cingular as far as the krzr is concerned. At least to my knowledge cingular isn't listing the KRZR yet.

Nope. You can order it from Verizon now, you can preorder it from Alltel now (though I suspect that no matter when you order it, you'll get it on the 5th of October.) I had heard that Cingular was going to get it first, followed by Verizon, then I heard Alltel was going to get it before Verizon. Now, Verizon and Alltel have it at the same time and Cingular and T-Mobile don't have it at all.

Sprint, meanwhile, is just about to get the RAZR, after having released two RAZR copies that didn't sell as well. Well done, Sprint.:loony:

When the RAZR first came out, it was a Cingy exclusive (?), although it wasnt for an entire year though.

Well, the problem there was that Motorola didn't have the V3c ready yet, so Verizon could never have gotten it, even when Cingular's exclusivity wore off because there was only a GSM model available.

Moto got smart with the KRZR and had a GSM and CDMA model ready to go at the same time.

    Finally it came through.

Not a bad looking phone. Worth looking into.

I tried yesterday to get the KRZR K1M online...

It would only let me if I changed my plan. Not good, I have an old plan (1300m $59), that's not offered anymore. Called CS and after 2 hours of calls back and forth, finally got thru to a supervisor that says I can keep my old plan, but some of the features might now work???, and she couldn't give me my NE2 discount. Today she's suppose to call back and complete the order after she rechecks with Tech support and the NE2 discount.

I hope I'm not making a mistake... I hate VWZ's UI, my old phone (V710) was bought just before the UI change, but it's finally dying after a few years.

    Any info/thoughts would be appreciated,
    m

I dunno about all that, I've seen the GSM Krzr all over dealer sites and sites such as MyWorldPhone I think cingular is releasing it as soon as it can get the phone in stock at stores, which if they are fighting that right now will be about the same time as Verizon gets it stocked. But I do gotta say I'm glad to see that it's out at the same time (at the very least) in comparison to the long waiting period that cdma had last year.

Do you mean to say that the K1M wouldn't?

Think he means the Krzr has better reception than the old phone he had.

A decidedly less than enthusiastic review from pcmag.
