KRZR K1m Preorder According to the site, the tentative date for the KRZR's release with Alltel is October 5th.
Unfortunatly for Alltel, the KRZR K1m is already available from Verizon... and for $50 cheaper with a 24 month contract.
This may be true, but the Verizon versions seem to have much of the Verizon programmed problems other phones carried by the carrier have. Much has been disabled.
Well, and here's the kicker... VZW won't have the KRZR in stores until 10/5/06, the same day Alltel will. I suspect, that even if you ordered the KRZR from VZW's website on Wed, when it was 1st available, you woudn't get it until 10/5/06... maybe a few days before. Maybe. I guess Alltel and VZW pretty much get the KRZR at the same time. That's weird.
I was excited about the arrival of this phone on Alltel, but it is cost prohibitive IMOH. I would have preferred a V3m for the features and less cost.
I'm sure Alltel will move quickly to match VZW's $199.99 cost, which, for the features, isn't really that bad.
