You all remember those two-prong Motorola charging ports from the V60, V120, T720, etc.., right? You know, the ones that never charged right, or if you bumped the phone slightly the charging connection was lost? This is kind of a blast from the past, but I want to get everyone's input and experiences with those phone models which used that series charging port. So, anyone who had lots of experience with those, drop a line on here about it. In case you're wondering why I'm asking, I'm just trying to help someone compile some information on these, based on user experiences and sales rep/technician troubleshooting experiences with them. Thanks in advance. -Rich ps. doesnt matter which carrier, just has to be Moto phones with those charging ports
I've had problems with them, I even sent one V551 in for a warranty exchange because of the unable to charge error. Later I found if you charged with an OE Nextel charger that it somehow worked a lot more reliably. The charger I'm speaking of is the Motorola charger with the fat, round cable that came with the Nextel phones. The one that came with the V60's and V551 that kinda looked like a mini lamp cord was the one that gave me the most problems. -Jay
