i wouldnt be surprised if we saw an attachment for the 720, which is a terrible phone

camera attachment is used on the gsm verison, so with a software flash it could work i suppose

Blah blah blah... T720 is the worst. Ugh...

I've enjoyed mine for some time with a few little modifications. No problems and it suits me fine with over 400hrs on the clock. Now the 7868 that I used to own is another story. (but I wouldn't bore you because I know quite a few happy people with them) Didn't someone mention some new T7xx? or does that just exist in la-la-land? (you know my memory is bad) [IMG] From what I have read, the T720c does not have the memory to support the camera attachment.

Mr Motorola told me that a certain T750 would have a swivel camera right across where the antenna is,we will most likely see it at the end of the year.

Don't forget the v810, due out from moto by the end of the year. Also, the e310 will have a camera attachment. Both of these phones will likely be picked up by Verizon and released sometime in 2007. [IMG]

Would you please elaborate on why Motorola T 720 is such a terrible phone.I have heard that from a lot of people but never really understood why.
    Thank you.[IMG]

The only thing that sucked for me was the low speaker volume and GIN. I talk most of the time using a Plantronics headset that I really like. and for when I don't want to look like a super-nerd I made the hole for the ear speaker bigger. Wonder why Moto didn't do this in the first place? Oh well.

Everyone has an opinion, but it makes you wonder why the T720 costs more than the VX-4400 and other color phones. Not to accuse anyone of anything, but it seems strange that the same rare problems plague a very select group of people. Is the problem really bad phone after bad phone, or is it more likely something else? ie. bad charger, abuse, some routine... I am by no means qualified to answer these questions but isn't it possible that leaving the phone on a dashboard in the heat, or allowing it to freeze could cause problems? I'd say that after the same problem happens more than once it is time to evaluate other possible causes than simply attributing it to "lemon phone."

I can't wait untill 2007! SWEEET! [IMG] If all the praise rings true for the VX-6000, I may just own an LG product. [IMG]

P.S. I just want a camera phone so I can enter the realm of ameateur porn [IMG] j/k

If the SE T606 ever comes out, it's supposed to support a camera add on.

Thank you Craptain for standing up for the T720. I usually get drowned out by the nay-sayers.
I swapped mine once, not because of any problems, but because it had the 17p software and Verizon had no way to flash them yet. This phone has worked great and coverage keeps getting better in Wisconsin. So good that I've finally given Single Rate the boot and switched to AC. Now it does suck that we have to pay to load content (vs. GSM), but at least we can load our own pictures now through dotphoto. Now they just have to get the Picture Messaging working the T720 and the circle would be complete. (Although a camera attachment would be nice).
Ironically I also had the Startac 7868 and hated that phone after the first few months of my 2 yr hellish contract. It almost made me swear off Motorola permanently.

I hope you are not talking about the Samsung SPHn400 and the SPHa500... I don't see those coming to Verizon being that they are J2ME enabled. Possibly the A600? Everywhere I read there is no mention of BREW... I would imagine that they could make "special" versions of these phones for Verizon?

Just whatever you do, don't think that I know what I'm talking about. I would like to know if there is a standard slot cycle for each carrier or if it varys from cell to cell?

What about the Sony T606? Don't the T60Xs have camera attachments? The T606 is supposed to be CDMA, Brew enabled.

Yes, but it is very unlikely the t606 will ever be released now the SE has pulled out of the CDMA business.

Good point....I did read where SE was pulling out of CDMA...even let go a bunch of folks....still thought there were going to go into production with the T606 but maybe not. A shame, was a sharp looking little phone....I tend to lean towards flip phones but that looked nice.

surprisingly kyocera is coming up in the world and bringing some competition with their upcoming Slider series phones accordingto my kyocera rep, theyre working on a camera phone too for a possible early next year release.

Ooooh, daddy like...daddy like a lot...

Thanks for the link, Cop. Doesn't this phone look a lot like the Siemens slider phone? Even the shape is the same. Not sure about the button layout, though.

Ceno, what exactly are your thoughts on Kyocera?

And my insight on the t720-Signal was horrible. I was always roaming or analog or extended network. Also, I would freeze on my menu, and the phone would randomly choose not to charge, just say unable to charge.

Kyocera's are great phones, but IMO, are ugly as hell. I think this one certainly "looks" a little more competitive.

this phone has been on the Kyocera site as coming soon for soo long though (since at least April I believe). I keep asking around in the kyocera forum if anyone has any information on this phone...and I havent gotten any response. It looks nice really cool, but I wonder how long it will be until we see this phone!

Oh, yeah, i definately agree with you ceno. lol.

Orioles-or any of their upcoming phones. I remember when they listed that huge site list of all these phones coming in color and stuff. I mean, they aren't even on phonescoop yet or anything, it makes you wonder when they will come out!

Well unless they start testing within a week, I guess I just don't understand why they release info on them so early. Don't get me wrong-with other big companies we wish we had information like that early like kyocera gave on all those phones, but hmm.
