my dear friend, rar files won't work on ming. Extract them on your computer and you'll get a jar file. click that file and the game will begin to install.

    Hi,
I tapped it and heard beep sound too but didn't any difference from what I had earlier. Is there a better way to increase the volume.

And similarly is it possible to change the flip alone.Mine is scratched and I want to change it.

    thanks
    Stephen

My friend, for me the Alpha's Jan 07 file worked fine. why dont you try renaming this file (on both locations) or just try it without renaming. please do some hit and try, it will surely help, otherwise there's no other way of doing this. and one thing is for sure, it won't brake your phone ;) Just keep in mind that you need to manually start the application after each restart.

You can find a new flip at cnn.cn, you can replace it at home itself but be careful and especially about the magnet beneath the flip, don't loose it.
    best of luck buddy :)

    hey fundo81

long time again thanks for all the help with the volume up applications its working like a charm it's been almost a year now i have my ming i don't think i could ever use another phone :) i have 1 question ammm. when i send files to my ming via blue tooth is there a way i can save it to my mmc 1gb card one time rather than the files to go on the phone then transfer? my ming only have 3mb internal memory left so any files i send bigger than 3mb t won't transfer saying the memory is full when i have like 865 free on my 1gb card lol hope to hear from u soon

    hi debadboyrs
nice to hear from you again. here is your answer:
when you transfer a file through bluetooth then after successful transfer it asks to save it. Here it asks for a name and location. By default, the location is phone memory. you just select another location and save. Its as simple as it sounds. Hope, this will resolve your problem. Goodbye

Help me plzz with my Ming A1200. I installed the MPKG program and linloader already but when it is time to install the linloader on my phone i get no beep song on my phone and nuttin works. Please help. I want to have increased volume up! when i do this:-click open. wait for about 20 seconds, you will hear a beep sound. this confirms that installation is successful. I never hear the beep sound so therefore my loader program never installs! :(

hi Jerod, Sorry for the late reply. first of all make it confirm that linloader is installed or not. To do this, go to uninstall applications and see whether lnloader and MPKG is listed there or not (do not uninstall anything). You first check this and then follow the exact steps that i've posted previously on this thread.

Hello Fundo, I am still having problems installing linloader. I copied the loader_A1200.pkg file to the transflash of my memory card. Then I did what u said and i press open with when i hold my stylus for 2 seconds. I select MPKG from my list and then i see this: Invalid Application File......The file cannot be used on my phone menu and i do not get to install the linloader. Please help me. :(. I hear no beep song and when i check uninstall apps i see MPKG installed but no linloader. Help me! Thank u for your time.

I think u r in great trouble my friend! i strongly recommend u to get it repaired at a Motorola Authorized Service centre.

You can find video convertor software here:
Xilisoft 3GP Video Converter- 3GP to MPEG, AVI to 3GP converter
AVI to DVD, 3GP/MP4/PSP/iPod Video Converter, DVD Copy, AVI to MPEG!

they are not free but their cracks are available on the net.

and here is a better video player for ming (if you aready dont have it):
    APP: ZMPLAYER v1_2 - video player - MotorolaFans.com Forums

it can play videos at 320x240 px at 25 fps at 200 bitrate.

I recommend u please read this thread:
HELP: MPKG and LinLoader - MotorolaFans.com Forums

there is also a possibility that your linloader file is corrupt: please download it again from here:
    Downloads - System - MotorolaFans.com Forums

if everything fails then there is another super utility called smart Assistant, you can download it from here:
APP: Smart Assistant - super utility - MotorolaFans.com Forums

Make sure you have the .pkg file in your transflash's root folder. tap on file for two seconds and select "open with" and select smartAsst from the list. If this procedure fails then either your volumeup pkg file is corrupt or you have a different firmware version that does not support volumeup or pkg files. You can also try some other pkg file (any game or application), if it does not work then the problem is with your firmware version. By the way, what is your firmware version?

Cool. I remember seeing the ming at a Comp USA months ago. Not really into the smart phones and such. But I thought it was cool.

    Correction to ORIGINAL POST

To Copy and Paste text (SMS, text editor, etc.):

    1. Highlight the text (drag your stylus over the text, don't lift the stylus)
    2. With the text highlighted (you can't lift the stylus), you will see a box slowly materialize via dots. When the dots have formed a box, a Context Menu will appear.
    3. Choose from the Context Menu (copy, paste, select all, etc.)

This is similar to the right click option in windows. You can call up this Context Menu for many things, feel free to experiment.
