As of 11/5 5:53AM EST the MOTOKRZR K1m is now available from Sprint.com for my zip code (49091). Regular price is $399.99, with instant savings of $200 the phone is $199.99. Sprint.com
Yeah I'm so tired of seeing these low rates posted around everywhere but yet not many of us qualify for those prices.
It's available for the same price in my market as well. I do have to say it's a nice looking Moto and if I was in the market it would be one I would probably choose it (and the money for it).
Yeah right and pay to have two monthly plans? Don't think so. *::wondering when matt is going to break down and get a KRZR::*
two plans? it would only be an extra $10...still, I wouldn't think that is worth it either just to save a couple hundred bucks up front.
Plus the increase in cost from a single line plan to a multi-line plan. Sprint's upgrade policy is quite dumb if you ask me. I understand the need to not constantly give people cheap new phones, but at the same time they are really making me wonder why I continue to be a customer of theirs as I'm paying full price for a phone while the new customer at the next rep down is paying half the price. (mind you I've been a Sprint customer for going on 6 years now.) Thats my rant, it does look like a cool phone though! -Charlie
Wouldn't there also be a $36 activation fee and other hidden fees/taxes? Plus there's always the possibility of the rep screwing up my grandfathered freebies when adding a new line. You never know. Also I don't think I'd want to have to deal with having two gadgets. I like just carrying one phone around with me for everything.
Depends on how long you've had your current phone which sucks. They should just give everyone the same deal if they renew for 2 years. I think it would be fair if they put some kind of stipulation on there that you have to have to be at least 9 months into your contract or something like that to qualify. But to make you wait 18 or 24 months to be able to get a lousy $150 off and sign for 2 more years is ridiculous. IMO Plus they should waive all activation fees for upgrades. They really need to rethink that policy as I think it is hurting business.
It seems all carriers are like this, they prefer to take care of the new customers vs their exsisting ones, maybe as the market gets saturated they will change this policy, but i doubt it.
But it hasn't always been that way. Pre-2003 Sprint gave the same deals to everyone regardless of how long you've had your phone or been a customer.
if you call sprint and tell them it would be cheaper to drop them, pay your cancellation fee, and get the KRAZR w/ another carrier special offer. they may give "whoever" the same deal the rep gave me.......$200, no shipping, no $36 activation, just $200. that is all i paid, i just told them i had been a customer since 2000 and it wasnt fair to old/or loyal customers. im enjoying the phone so far!!
About time I chime in on this topic. I've had the krzr for about 2 weeks now and I am enoying it, though I am waiting for a firmware update!
