lol, those OTA dates are hit or miss. But normally it means the update is very close. I have been hearing rumors of April for the MyTouch.

Why wait? Root your phone and download some of the great 2.1 ROMS people have already put out there. Currently I am running Ultimate Droid 7.8, has all the features of 2.1. Is stable and can be overclocked. ;)

And I would be more interested in getting Flash on the phone. That was promised by Adobe for January of this year, nothing yet:mad:

Adobe still doesn't have flash working right on Windows Mobile... Why do you think they would have it ready for a new operating system?

    It's about time!!!

Was this Verizon's delay or Android's? (I'm thinking Verizon...) If so, does anybody know what their logic was behind the delay?

I know their have been issues with Android updates before. So hopefully the delay was to make sure the update would go smoothly for everyone. :)

Some reports seem to indicate that the update bricked a good portion of the phones it was pushed to.

Just manually updated the software and haven't really noticed any huge difference. The live wallpaper seems to be killing the battery much faster then normal....but maybe that's cos I've been playing with the phone more.

I was hoping for more home screens, but atlast that did not happen.

Multitouch works good so far in the browser. I'll post more later as I put it thru its paces (sp?)

couple quick questions if someone would please inform me i'd appreciate it.
1.) just wondering, i haven't tried any videos after the 2.1 update on the droid... did anything change in terms of video playback and quality (i.e. FPS, etc) because i heard of all these things about how 2.1 slowed the phone down... im just wondering

2.) do i have to make any adjustments to the program I was using for videos after this 2.1 update?

basically, did anything change in terms of slowdown/etc with videos on 2.1? or can i just keep doing what i have been doing (when i was on 2.01) w/o making any alterations from the update..

I appreciate any feedback! Thank You!!

Video seems to work just fine as before. Slow downs and frame rate drops seems to be affecting games and other graphics intensive programs more then videos..

To be honest with you, I think the whole phone's got more jittery and isn't as smooth as it was before....
