Mine too. And I don't use Verizon personally, although there is an account in my name. I am so happy to see these finally coming out.
mmm bluetooth ... I can't wait ... I have seen for so long what my friends have done with bluetooth (he has a 616) and he gets online with his palm, as well as controlls his media player on his computer as well as lots of other cool stuff. So I cannot wait for verizon to get a bluetooth handset! plus these are pretty nice looking also! go MOTOROLA. hopefully this helps them regain respect that they have lost of late.
BT would help me out a great bit. We have a very week signal at our use, so I plug my phone into an external antenna which helps. I don't know the range of those BT ear pieces, but it should at least let me walk to a different part of the room and still hold a converstation.
Where's the GIN button? I was so hoping for one... It's good to see that Motorola is finally taking some initiative to release quality handsets for 2004.
bluetooth is supposed to work up to 30 feet i believe, I personally havent really used it so I am not so sure if thats an exact nmber or more of an estimate. I remember I had a wireless keyboard once (not bluetooth) that was only supposed to work 6 feet away and I could be in another room (about 20 feet away and through 2 walls) and it would still work. I would definately say that the BT headset will at least let you be anywhere in the room and more likely you can even be a room or 2 away.
From what little reading I have done on bluetooth 30' is a maximum direct line of site connection. I have not been able to test that for real...yet.
I am guesssing its a GSM phone just because they compare its specs to the V600. Also they dont really make a big deal about the fact that it has bluetooth which i see as another sign that its GSM. I am not positive I am just trying to read between the lines of whats written on phonescoop
Frankly, I'm thrilled as hell that there ISN'T a GIN button. My friend has an Samsung a530s, and the placement of the GIN button (in the middle of the D-pad, where "OK" should be) drives me up a wall - when I was helping her set it up, I kept pressing GIN instead of the softkey for "OK", because instinctively that's where the OK button should be. I'm sure on the V710/A840, it'll be a directional option on the D-pad, like it was on the T720.
