I did a search but didn't really find anything on this subject, maybe cause I didn't really know what to search for. I am just wondering if there is a way to make your own custom 'moving' wallpaper. I have the Sprint v3m and one of the wallpapers that come with the phone actually has motion. Is there a way to do that on your own? Is it just an animated .gif or something? Or is this just wishful thinking? Thanks for any help...

I think it is just an animated gif. Can u find the file and extract it from the phone using BitPim?

Hey cincy..thanks for the reply. Ummm...I have MPT and have connected using that but I haven't tried BitPim. I've read about it on here a few times but wasn't comfortable doing it. Is it a pretty straight forward program? As in..I won't mess anything up? I consider myself technical..but bricking my phone makes me nervous..ya know...

Also..from the website..I don't see v3m as a supported phone. Do I just select the v3 or something?

Yea, it wont brick anything. Select v3cm as the phone. And then for comm port, click the Browse button. Then look for "Motorola USB Modem" listed under Available Ports. If u see it, highlight it, then click OK. Then OK again out of the settings menu. Then click View->View FileSYstem. Then in the left window pane, 2nd from bottom, u should see a File System icon. Click that, then to the right, there should be a folder u can expand. Once it opens, that is the phones file system. Look for where ur stock pics are. Once u fiund them, and find the particular file, RIGHT CLICK and SAVE. Then u will be able to see the file type. Then once u know, u can upload via MPT if u choose.

Hmmm...I am trying it. I run the phone wizard and it keeps failing at the detect phone stage. I have the right com port. Is this maybe a Sprint thing??

Don't think its a gif though. All I did was find a small animated gif online..and then transfer it using MPT. It doesnt move once I load it on my phone. The preview in MPT shows it moving..but no go once on the phone...
