Moderators?

i see where Brother Jack is coming from and I can see why the Mod status can be viewed as a popularity contest but it isnt, but it is?
If you see the current moderators, you will notice how there are certain patters that include but not limited to:

Graphic icon. (most Mods have custom icons)
Number of posts.
Different forums where they post (not just one forum e.g. Sanyo)
Offer lengthy (more detailed) advice or opinion/review than just a "yes, thats right" or "use the search you weenie"
Most arent Biased
They are familiar with the members of the forums and their patterns.
are good decision makers.all these are qualities i have seen with existing Moderators and qualities i look forward to acquiring myself to become a Mod.

HAHAHAHh @ NJ. To everyone else, especially Jack, no matter what status you are, it shouldn't affect you helping others. Just because I am not a Mod, although I would like to be one, I still try my hardest to aid others with accurate answers, and quick replies. And I wish we had a system like Xpert said, but, at the same time, I like our system now, because our peers decide who is "best" for the position.

Just my 6 cents.

What system am I describing? all I suggested from the get go is different rankings for loyal and PRACTICAL INFORMATIONISTS who have been here for a while and actually contribute to the forum and those deserve to be rewarded, anyone with a user name can give opinions rather than practical answers. JT, Id prefer if you refer to me as Cop ^_^ TY, or if you prefer to call me Xprt go ahead, just lose the "e"
Only time will tell who gets the big M, Keep on showing enthusiasm and leadership skills , for those of you who want to be Mods.

 

The system which you just mentioned was the one I was talking about. Okay, I'm sorry I mis-spelled Xprt, and from now on, I shall call you "Cop" .
