I just hope it doesn't cause a flood of messages saying "AT&T promised MMS by the end of summer and not delivered"...

Agreed and to add I hope the iPhonies do not bring the network down in the process of showing off their new found powers. :)

I think the 9 million or so Iphone users should send an MMS to all the competing carriers instead of to each other on ATT. See how the network handles that!

Oh how I would love to see that! AT&T go up in smoke (so to speak) within a second. that would be so cool. can anyone say network upgrade?

No, I want 9 million from at&t to VZW and I also want to see 9 million using the VZW data network at the same time while the MMS is coming to the users.

Maybe it's just me, but I haven't missed MMS at all over the year-plus I've had the iPhone. 90% of the photos I took with my old Treo I ended up sending to Flickr; I'd used MMS before, but now I can use the Flickr app or Darkslide. The other 10% I either e-mailed to myself or moved off my SD card. I think I may have sent all of 1 photo to another phone via MMS.

All that said, I'm glad the feature's finally being added. I probably won't use it, but at least it'll be there, and the iPhone haters will have one less thing to gripe about.
