One feature of the Note-series Samsung keyboard was that it was easy to swap from cursive input to using the keyboard and back again. In fact, it was one reason I didn't use much more capable keyboards such as SwiftKey or Swype -- they simply didn't have a method of switching to cursive input. Yesterday I came across Quick Keyboard Switch. It adds one extra step than Samsung's Note-series keyboard but still much faster than having to go through Settings options. I also installed (on the S7-Edge), MyScript Stylus Beta, which allows handwriting in any input screen. So essentially, I've emulated the functions that I loved so much about the Note-series. I still miss the size of the Note, but I'll learn to deal with it.
