I have a MotoRAZR V3m, which I purchased almost 2 years ago from US Cellular. At first, I thought the phone was great, but lately it has been nothing but problems. I purchased a 4GB memory card for the phone, which (when you try to format it) says "card is unreadable" and every time I try to format it, the format fails. I really want to use this card as I am sick of constantly deleting things to make room for new things.

If anybody could offer any advise or opinions, they would be appreciated. :)

A 4GB microSD card almost certainly won't work in your V3m.

Cards up to 2GB are SD format. Cards 4GB and above are SDHC (SD High Capacity) format. An older phone that was designed in the SD era won't be capable of reading an SDHC card. Some later Motorola models support SDHC, but the V3m is pre-SDHC and it's incredibly unlikely that Motorola has bothered to update the firmware to support SDHC (if it even could be done)

Not to mention, a 4GB or above card has to be formatted FAT32 and the V3m doesn't support that filesystem, it only supports FAT16.

Your V3M definitely can use a 1GB card, and almost certainly can use a 2GB card, but won't work with a 4GB card.

(To be technically precise: the original SD specification allowed up to 1GB. It was revised to allow up to 2GB, and to sort of allow 4GB. But then there was a problem because the FAT16 filesystem only supports 2GB unless you use a somewhat non-standard cluster size. Then they came out with SDHC for cards of 4GB to 32GB formatted with the FAT32 filesystem. For a while there were 4GB SD cards and 4GB SDHC cards on the market, but the 4GB SD cards were so non-standard and unsupported by any devices that they quickly disappeared and you'll never find one and even if you did, your phone almost certainly won't read it.)
