No Frills cell service is actually a good thing to some people. You have to think the majority of the US is rural. Most of the people I talk to could give 2 $hit$ about data, pictures email etc.
If you think that they are bad now, you should have had them when they first came out here. They have improved like 100 times better since they first started here. Trust me there!
Cricket is in Texas. They are in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and College Station. I don't know anyone who uses them though.
They're also in Pittsburgh, Buffalo, NY and coming soon to Rochester, NY. I know a few ppl on them and they have mixed reviews. Im curious to see how well they buildout the rochester market.
What I don't understand is, how can Metro be so popular in all the markets they open up in, and yet after customers see how HORRIBLE their stuff is, they complain about it to customer service (which are people just like the customers) when we.. just really don't care? We have to follow company policy and get daily death threats from these customers who have no idea where we live. It's funny, and extremely irritating at the same time. I know your service is off. Your bill was due a week ago and you did not pay it. DUH!
People should learn to get a real provider i mean what posseses them to get a provider with such small coverage area
I work in Buckhead/Atlanta GA and my service is great. "Customer No Service" stinks but they all do. I have no complaints. I also have TMobile, with the lowest plan so whenever i go out of the Metro service area or travel, I'm covered. I use my ghetto pcs most of the time.
thank you for seeing it my way lol it couldbe that they dont get coverage by bigger companies in their area but i do so it isnt a problem for me. lol............
One of the big reasons why some people go to smaller carriers like metro pcs, cricket...etc..is because they can't afford the higher prices of the major carriers. Most of the small companies have very good prices to lure people in, but they might have bad coverage.
Yes, Sprint is I think still in the trial stage of their unlimited plans, only in certain markets, I really don't know which one it was though.
I live in Hawaii and my sister lives in the Bay area. She was never one to watch her minutes very closely, so I checked out MetroPCS online for her and urged her to get it with it's flat rate, unlimited local and national incoming and outgoing calls sounded like the perfect solution to my "set amount of minutes" challenged sister. After she switched over to Metro, wouldn't you know that no one has clued MetroPCS into something that's been a fact since the 1950's, HAWAII IS THE 50TH STATE AND SHOULD THEREFORE BE INCLUDED UNDER NATIONAL CALLING. Calls to Hawaii come under "international" and require you to put money in your Metro bank. Can you believe that bunk? MetroPCS is in serious need of some history lessons!:loony:
I have tried them in Atlanta . Coverage is cheesy and CS is poor. Goint into a Metropcs store an "interesting" experience . Great concept but they need to get act together , Boost Unlimited ( Sprint 1900 mhz CDMA) with just expanded to certain areas and would be a good alternative for this type of service (no contract , local unlimited) .
