MetroPCS may be able to 'flash' your CDMA phone from another network, so you can use it on their network.

They have a page that let's you look up your phone and tells you what you need to do.

See the page here: MetroPCS | MetroFLASH

F.Y.I: Some newer phone models are not on the lists, and there are other older models that cannot be flashed. There is no guarantee MetroPCS will be able to flash EVERY CDMA phone.

Also, data will be a no-go. The flashed phone will only work for voice and SMS. Depending on the flashed phone, it will not have the same coverage area as most MetroPCS phones (IIRC, Metro has some AWS-only markets... a CDMA only phone will roam on Verizon, which isn't free)...

Actually, MetroPCS uses CDMA in all their markets, as does Verizon. Better to use their tri-band (850, 1900, AWS) versus dual-band (850, 1900 MHz) descriptions.

Although the technology is CDMA, some of Metro's newer markets like New England and Louisiana are on the 1700/2100mhz spectrum only. Older markets like Florida, Atlanta, and Dallas are on the 1900 frequency, though. On the MetroFlash page, there is a list of the markets where the MetroFlash is not available and it is due to Metro's spectrum holdings:

The unavailable markets are those that are on the AWS band only...
