    Well, isn't this odd?

I've got 4 phones, all powered on and sitting in front of me.

3 are hitting a Cingular tower.

1 is hitting a Cingular Extended tower.

When we purchased the phones at the local Cingular dealer, there was a problem activating the SIMs with the in-store reader, so the rep just put the SIMs in all the phones, sent us home and said we'd receive a text msg to power cycle phone and we'd be in business.

The phone that is hitting the Extended tower, never received it's message, but I am able to receive and make calls on it.

Called customer service to have 'em push the message again, thinking perhaps the activation didn't take right, still the same issue. They are just as perplexed as I am.

Any ideas out here as to why this may be?
