    Hi all
Anyone know of passive technology that will collect all incoming and outgoing cell signals in a very small area (perhaps 40 square feet) and prevent any device within that area from receiving or sending?
Needs to be something other than shielding as environment will not permit such activity.
Thinking of some antenna arrangement that grounds signals etc.
Also, hope to be able to remotely activate/deactivate.
Just on initial info gathering trip and appreciate any and insights.
    Thanks
    Mike

You can shield the area, but an electronic jamming device is illegal in the US, and discussion of such devices is prohibited in our forums.

Which is probably the reason the OP is asking about passive technology since (to the best of my knowledge) the jammers use active.

Correct. I understand jamming is illegal, which is why I specified passive. Not an electrical engineer, so I wonder if tehre is any way to "vacuum" all signals in a confined area?

Unless you embed chicken wire in the walls and make the room a Faraday cage, you're not going to do it legally.
