I'm trying to pull a prank on someone, but I need to figure out a way to manually change the time on my VX8300. Does anyone know if there's a way to do this at home, or even if they can do this at the Verizon store itself?

    Thanks.

Or, a different strategy would be to change the timestamp on a text message, using whatever computer software, if necessary.

Sorry, the clock cannot be manually set on CDMA phones
because it's broadcast on the network automatically following the atomic clock.

CDMA technology (Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, US Cellular) prevents manual change of the time,
and only some display settings could be changed (analog, digital display).

Only GSM phones (AT&T & T-Mobile) are capable of manually changing the time,
but the real time will still show up on your bill,
no matter what you set the time to on the GSM phone.
