LX4400 at $100 at VZW Website & Rebate = Free The LG LX4400 price was reduced to $100 at VZW's website and there is a $100 mail-in rebate expiring 6/15/03, meaning the phone can be had for free. Does anyone know whether the rebate will be extended or continued after 6/15/03 or should I get the phone by this Sunday? Also, anyone know the upgrade price for this phone of AC's Family Share Plan's secondary line?? I was told that to upgrade my secondary line phone, which I'm eligible for now, that I will have to pay a "slightly" higher price than the discounted or promotional price offered for the primary line? Thanks!
Could you please provide the link. I am having to switch from Sprint with an LG 5350 to Verizon. I am very happy with my LG phone and would like to hook up with the LX4400. When I go to the site they show a price of $199. Thanks
Unlike Sprint, Verizon's prices vary nationwide, so the deal may not be available in every Verizon market.
I have 2 months left on my FE2, VW sent me a coupon saying extra $30 off a A310. What, are they nuts? Anyway, guess I'll have to find a different phone than the VX4400 to make use of the extra $100, or do I get $100 for the rebate since it's pretty much $0 for the phone after $100 off from FE2? As far as the link, just goto: http://www.verizonwireless.com
Da*m it! Figures, it would go down in price, but I didn't think by that much. Well why has the T720 keep going UP in price. In Delaware the phone would be free, no tax ! Of course I would want a 1 yr agreement, but let's see......30$, or the 130$ I will pay in the end. This sucks.
I just bought 2 LX4400's two weeks ago, so I went into the local Verizon store to see if I could get some money back. I should have done my homework first. It turns out that on the website, they changed the advertized price from "before rebate" to "after rebate". In other words, the final price didn't change. If you go through the order process online, you'll see that the price that will be charged to your account is $199.
I'm in the DC market and the phone comes up as $99.99 (even at checkout) and there is the $100 mail in rebate. Get 'em while you can. Does that mean with new every two you can make $100???
I live in New Hampshire. As of last night it was $199-100 rebate. This morning it is $99-100 rebate for 2 yr contract and $129-100 for 1 year contract. This phone is a steal for $29. They must figure that once the 6000 comes out, sales will die on the 4400. By the way, I don't know why most people would sign a 2 year contract- especially those of you on this forum. It just locks you into a technology that changes every 6 months.
Are you kidding??? Once they release the 6000, are they getting rid of the 4400, or are you being facetious. Also, the 6000 is going to be All-Digital, is that correct? I sure hope they don't do away with the 4400 if the 6000 is only All-Digital. I live in Phoenix which is Digital, but I don't yet wish to lose Analog for if I should travel somewhere by car...
Unfortunately (I agree with you regarding analog) I don't think I am kidding. As soon as the 4400 was released the VX-10 (the previous LG model) dropped dramatically in price. Of course, now the VX-10 costs more than the 4400 here in Ohio...I have no idea what is going on! I figure it is only a matter of time before there are no more VX-10's for sale by Verixon. Likewise, as soon as the successor to the T720 is released, I assume that phone will drop in price as well. I have no idea how long it will take to deplete Verizon's supply of 4400's or if they will actually do that (like they did with the Audiovox 9500). The 4400 will probably be released by US Cellular at some point, so it is not as if LG is going to stop making them. If anything, Verizon needs to keep it around to offer an alternative to people that want analog and don't want to buy a camera phone, but still want a color screen. So my comment was not based on any hard facts, it was rather a reaction to recent rends.
VZW's pricing for phones never made sense. With promotions & rebates, you ended up paying more for V60's than for T720's and VX4400's. I'll settle for paying $60 for a trimode VX4400 after rebate on a 1 year contract/extension to replace the 2 years old LG TM510's in NYC market. I'm not sure if I want to go for the all digital A530 now since my wife won't need all the extra bells & whistles - although I've set my A310 to CDMA 3G (Forced Mode) lately & haven't experienced any problems w. dropped calls, no signals, etc. & I can go for 3 or 4 days before recharging the battery with it being on for 15 hours daily.
I too noticed this, however, now they have brought the phone down to $99 with a $50 MIR...even when you go through the order process (at least that's the price for the market here in Buffalo, NY).
Just checked the website for Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It shows it at $99.00 plus a $50 Mail-In rebate. I just got mine a little over a week ago, so I'll go by some of the stores here tomorrow and see if they can credit me the extra $50. I paid $199.00 plus $100 MIR. Be kinda cool if they credited me the $100 difference of In-Store price and I still receive the $100 MIR.
Letitride, if you like the promotion i would do it as soon as possible. Stross and anthromatt, you cant forget about teh two 4400 non-camera replacements that will probably come soon.
Just as an update.... I went in to the Verizon store here in Tuscaloosa, Alabama yesterday to see if they offered a price guarantee or anything. I checked the website the night before, and it showed the 4400 (which I bought 2 weeks ago) at $99.00 for Tuscaloosa, plus a $50 Mail-In rebate. In the store, however, all signage was $149 - $50 Mail-In Rebate. Both reps stated that this was the first drop to come through their store. Since it shows on the web that price, it might be possible to do it through their 800 #....but I'm not gonna go to that much trouble over $50. Plus, I buy electronics all the time, and that is pretty much how it goes anyway. Buy something today, and know that it will soon be less.
It's certainly possible it is a web-only deal. I bought an Audiovox 9500 in the store and then 2 days later was an offer on the Verizon webpage for a free battery and leather case with purchase of the 9500, but the store refused to honor the promotion. I could have returned the phone and set it up through telesales, but I figured it wasn't worth the hassle.
Hmmmm! I'm going to call my indirect buddy to see what upgrade price he's offered for the 4400 and check out upgrade price at the local VZW corporate location. Maybe I'll switch the A310 to the ACFS secondary line & get the 4400 myself w. the color screen for surfing. Our 2 years old TM-510's battery is on its last leg and not really holding up a charge in between - it's got a solid feel to it vs. the A310 and the A530.
What do you guys think the likelyhood of the 4400 is regarding me being able to pick it up in the beginning of November, when my contract is up w/ AT&T??? I guess I could possibly pick it up a little bit earlier than November if that is a longshot. That is a sweet phone, & I do not want it to go away. Otherwise, my only real backup plan is the Samsung A310. Also, does anyone know if there will be a new release from LG or a comparable manufacturer, that would niche higher than the 4400, but be Digital and still have Analog capabilities, yet without losing any of the functionalities of the 4400. I don't need a camera, or any of the other bells & whistles. I will be using this for its primary function as a phone for the time being. Please advise...
I don't think Verizon plans to introduce any new phones with analog with the exception of new Motorolas, such as the v60p. The 4400 may or may not be around in November. It depends how long they keep it around after the VX6000 is released I think.
Yeah, there was a rumor going around that it had been pulled to remove analog. I'm not sure I believe that, but the rumor is out there.
