So I am sitting here thinking about what I am going to make for lunch tommorow. It got me thinking do you make your own lunch or do you go out and eat?? I make my own because I figured it saves me quit a bit of money when I make my own thing. I usually put a refreezable ice pack in the bottom of my cooler then have like a sandwhich or two and then a drink and chips.

I end up eating my lunch at our cafe on my campus. Our union is always so busy (I don't want to wait in line for 20-30 minutes to get something...and then still have to eat it).

You forgot one. I usually bring frozen dinners to work because the restaurants here are so expensive ($10 for lunch) so I technically didn't make it, but I'm not going without, or going to a restaurant either.

I used to take the bus home and then my family's made would make us lunch, but now that I am working off of Avenida Paulista, I go out to lunch with my boss everyday if he's there. If he isn't, then I'll just go to a local café or something.

I rememeber when I was in Brazil that you would get a really good meal for cheap. By the way I dont rememeber what they are called in Brazil but I really liked those little cheese balls covered in a scone type bread.

    Happy birthday, Wiggy...

I sometimes bring my own, usually leftovers from dinner the night before -- but I go out and usually have leftovers from LUNCH the next day because portions at restaurants are so huge.

Happy B-Day from me too, Wiggy!

I often make my own sandwiches too; like ryan described, put a little freezable ice thing in my cool box, add a few sandwiches, a drink or two, some chocolate and I'm all set. :)

I do get sick of my home-made food sometimes so I go out and get something. I love Panda Express for lunch!

Hmmmm let's see which poll option doesn't apply to me:

    Yourself/Wife/GF/Mom makes it:

Yourself - Yeah, do this at home already.
    Wife - Ain't married yet.
GF - Am single at the moment.
Mom - No way, she's a few thousand miles and an ocean away lol.

When I'm rotating between the video editing and audio mixing divisions at work, I never work past 7 PM so I only have to plan for lunch which I have at the company cafeteria. We get an employee discount so a main meal with a drink, salad and dessert will cost between 3 and 5 Euros.

But as I'm in the Media Services division which rotates with 2 daily shifts (early: 8:30-5 and late: 1-9 PM) until the end of January, I have to plan for a dinner at work (bring my own from home since the cafeteria closes at 3:30) whenever I'm assigned to the late shift for a week. That's the case for this week.

Yeah, depending whether I'm at the Valley office or the OC office, we get discounted lunches too. They're pretty terrible though.

How old are you now Wiggy!!?? Happy belated Birthday! :birthday:

You eat out all the time? Do you just bring home dinner to the wife and chilins?

I would get sick of eating out all the time. Alot of times, eating out makes me sick because waitresses and other food service people cannot tell me what is in what I am eating! So I take a chance. I bet you didn't know there is flour in processed tomales! I didn't know....I thought it was just made of corn meal. I guess real ones are.....but processed ones aren't. My guts reminded me of this :(

Anyhow....sorry for going off on a tangent! BUT.....for lunch at work....I eat here. We have our own cafeteria and get a hot sandwich (rueben, philly, etc) without the bread of course.....or a salad.

  27. Since there's alot of restaurants around here, I usually get a pretty cheap lunch. That don't mean its bad though ;)

today I got the take-out buffet from Trey's 5, a local chinese restaurant. It was only like $6 and some change with a drink. Not that bad of a deal :)

some times i'll get a lunch-sized salad or sandwich from Prestons.. a local grill around here.

and then i'll get a (big) sandwich from subway.;) lol

beginning to realize why i need 2 lose some weight :O lol.. jk
