Don't forget about the lunar eclipse this Sunday night http://www.space.com/30656-total-lunar-eclipse-supermoon-viewing-guide.html
I had read earlier this year that there were to be 4 supermoons in 2015. I've wanted to photo them with my DSLR but by evening I'm so weak from health issues, that i go to bed well beforehand. I'm feeling pretty good right now. Maybe I can jump in my car and find a clear viewing area.
For the first time since my health took a dive, I decided to take out my DSLR and go photo the moon. I was very disappointed to find that the sky was covered with a thick overcast. Even an hour later, still no visible moon, not even a hint of shine from the moon. I took this picture back in 2011. I guess I'll have to be satisfied with it.
We saw it very well. I thought it didn't look as red as some of the pictures but looking at the one's that hubby took with his DSLR, they are gorgeous red. Now I need to be nice to him, so I can get hold of some of them. Sent from my iPhone 6s
Yours came out the best. I was using an old Olympus camera zoomed in and didn't realize I should have used a tripod due to how long the shutter stayed open.
They were worried about high tides in the UK: http://www.rt.com/uk/316879-supermoon-supertide-evironmental-warning/
We had our telescope out. Then I held my S6 camera up to the telescope lens and captured these. You have to be soooo patient and have it just right to see through the lens
I found this story even more surprising: http://bigstory.ap.org/article/25c1...3/blood-moon-seen-sign-end-times-some-mormons
I've seen a few of those, like the Blood Moon Prophecy. What do these sects say now that their claims are refuted? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_Moon_Prophecy
