From time to time my normal lock screen gets replaced by a black screen with the music control on it (see picture). I was not playing music prior to that. The only way to get rid of it is hard reset (power & home), which is kind of a pain. Please help. Thanks Normal lock screen. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
@CDG: I Googled "black lock screen with music player" and got a number of hits. Unfortunately, there was no solution. One person mentioned that it appears when he has his earbuds plugged in. Although not really helpful, I found this thread: http://www.galaxys4forums.net/forum/12-galaxy-s4-help/1397-music-player-lock-screen.html. I guess attack it methodically: 1. Go into the widget settings (if any) and see what can and cannot be disabled. 2. Go into the lockscreen settings and see what can and cannot be disabled. 3. Start making mental observations regarding the sequence of things you do, the apps you use, just before locking the screen. 4. If it is a removable widget, delete it from your device and see if that fixes it. After a few days, reinstall and see if they helps. 5. Tie it to the bumper of your car on a long bungee cord and threaten it sternly that if it doesn't shape up, it is going to get the "road rash" treatment. (I've threatened devices before. It seems to put the fear of gawd in them, LOL) 6. If all else fails, contact ASUS customer assistance. (Oh wait, is this for the ASUS or the Apple device???? If its Apple, definitely take it for a drive around the ranch.)
Sometimes a case that's not made quite right can put pressure on phone buttons, like power, volume, ring/siltent switch.... and cause a phone to do odd things. Try a different case for a while. Addendum: I also read, "The music player is only on the lockscreen when you double-tap the home button. Another double-tap removes it." Could something be hitting your home button?
@palandri, I believe the double tapping went away with either Touch ID or iOS 8. I can bring up the music player plus a few other option by sliding the screen up. I have the Apple case and have had it since the first day, so I am not sure, that's a problem. The problem is pretty recent. Perhaps some third party app is invoking the music player somehow, next time it happens I will close all the apps and see if that helps. @KevinJames, it's my iPhone and I will take your advice and threaten it.
I've seen that in a different way. Sometimes when I unlock the phone the screen you see appears...but only for a split second...and disappears to the normal screen. So I don't have an answer for you, sorry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
