Locating Verizon tower sites in/around Collins, Ga.

    I need to locate the cloest Verizon tower to Collins, Ga. I attend a retreat close to Collins, Ga twice a year and I have a 30ft yagi antenna with an amp and inside antenna to use for internet access because of very poor signal reception at the campground. How can I find the address of the cloest tower?

    There is no real simple way to do it. You can try antennasearch.com, but remember, not all carriers are on all towers. There is no master list of any one companies sites. You may however be able to tell where it is by looking at their coverage maps.

    If you have an Android, BlackBerry or Symbian phone, you can download and use my Cellumap app. It won't show you where exactly the tower is, but you can see in what areas the signal gets stronger.

    I checked the database, and currently there is no Verizon data logged around Collins, Ga, but you can be the first ;)

    Closest I can find is out on lynntown road SW of town about 4 miles. MCI was purchased by Verizon and that is the name on the tower.
