Local & Nation plans removed from Cingular's Website............

At least in my area anyway. (Lexington, KY)

The site now only has "SuperHome" and "Prefered Nation" plans available.......both of which are GSM only.

I am still on my TDMA Nation plan that I landed back at the begining of last year........complete with N&W minutes.....free text messaging & Internet........and I think I will definently be hanging on to it until they offer something equally as good with their GSM service.

It looks like they are converting your area from a TDMA market to a GSM market, so now you are locked into your current plan or you may be forced to convert to a GSM plan if you want to change your current plan.

From what I understand Cingular has already converted there Kentucky markets over to GSM 850. I don't believe they sell TDMA phones anymore in that area, at least they don't on Cingular.com.

Correct...as of 12/31 Cingular will no longer activate new service on TDMA in KY and TN...and as they roll out GSM, each market will go this way.

Chicago is going to launch pretty soon. GSM if implemented correctly will be much better then its current TDMA network. [IMG]

I was told over the phone by Cingular that you can still get this plan but they have cut out the 3000 free minutes for night and weekends. It would start at $29.99 for 250 min a month.
