I'm pretty much summarizing what was on HoFo since I haven't been able to get more details yet. At some point (soon I guess) mobile-to-mobile minutes will be available with some (not ALL) roaming partners. I don't know which roaming parters will be included.

How will T-Mobile let its customers know on which roaming partners free m2m minutes will be available? I guess Sprint will be the only one left after T-Mobile allows Free M2M minutes while roaming.

Will this Include 850 GSM Roaming
since T-Mobile is now selling Quad Band Phones?

Supposedly, this went into effect yesterday, 5/15. But there are a few areas where it is not in effect, mostly in the midwest. Here's what was on HoFo - I haven't had a chance to check my source yet.

To the best of my knowledge, Cingular does not have native service in Vermont, their prepay coverage is only on the Cingular network and those coverage maps show no coverage at all in Vermont.

T-Mobile roamed in Vermont on Unicel (hopefully on 850!).

Unicel in VT from TM was 1900, which got turned off by Unicel since they have 850 now.

When I was in VT, it was during the last week of April, not sure if 1900 was still on at that point.

Anyway, I e-mailed T-Mobile about this (Unicel turning off 1900), and received a reply this morning. They informed me that the Nokia 6010 and 6800's that I have are dual-band handsets (850/1900) and if I am roaming in an 850 MHz area, the handsets will work.

There's a thread on HoFo about Unicel. IIRC it has happened within the last few weeks. I would not be sure about the 850 though. Last I asked about the roaming list (internal), TM users didn't have official 850 anywhere (although it is in test in some places I guess).

I received an e-mail from T-Mobile yesterday. They informed me that both the Nokia 6010 and 6800 handsets are dual-band 850/1900, and that if I am in a roaming area that uses 850, those handsets will work.
