I'm considering VZN and am looking for a good, solid, basic handset, for TALKING ON. Relative voice quality / reception, and respectable battery life, like 5 days like my Nokia, would be all I need. Does anyone have any experience w/this handset ? Noted built in problems ? etc. Things like locking up, and flip flopping between analog / digital would drive me nuts. Ouch !! I just looked at this handset on the LG website. It appears that it is DIGITAL only. Not sure I'm ready to give up analog function w/VZN yet.
just got this phone yesterday, charged it over night and already having problems. i leave it open on my desk so i can see right away who is calling. the battery is fully (all bars) charged. it just shuts off and on adimmed display it reads: Pref Abort Exception any ideas? i cannot turn it back on unless i remove the battery and then press the power button. another great experience with LG and verizon.
Well that is totally up to you. If you are in your first 15 days with the phone you can get a different model, but then you can't switch models again after that. If you are past your 15 days (which I assume you aren't since you say you got the phone yesterday!) you can only exchange it for the same model. I am fairly certain the phone is just defective and you wouldn't have that problem with a different 3100. Still, you don't sound very impressed with LG in particular...it may be worth the piece of mind to go with a different phone.
teh vx2000 is pretty basic, I mean it does have a speakerphone but thats not too advanced. A kyocera 2325 is also, but it has polyphonic rings. Then again, i think the vx2000 does also. I dont think motorola v120e's battery is very good, and I don't like audiovoxes.
i actually like the LG in the fact that i have seen MANY kyeocera phones coming back, the few times i was at VZW to have my 4400 fixed. Motorola seems to not care that their antennas have that large nub that pops up and breaks off. i refuse to guy that and worry everytime i put it in my pocket that it will snap off (i had a v120 for a week and was very dissatisfied with that - and it seems to be a constant "feature" across the models) I have been more frustrated with VZW with their service from the features that a phne has and the reality of actually getting them to work, hours on the phone with tech support and run around. LG tech support said they would call me back in an hour....that was three months ago! the local store i bought this 3100 from called LG and VZW tech support and neither has heard of this....(but my conspiritory mind leads me to belive that i some how doubt that) if a feature only works in some ideal environment if you have a background in wireless technology, then it should nto be promoted as a feature. ...yes this is getting off topic. the store is swapping itout and i will let you know what i find out. thanks for listening.
Yeah I know now....phone scoop had them listed as polyphonic til like 5 hours ago. I emailed the guy and he said he screwed up. Sorry.
the lg would be the better choice over the kyocera and the motorola., However tha samsung series phones are not a bad decistion either.
Nope. It is a phone that if you were to take off the high speed data, it would have been the latest good dependable phone offered. This phone has nada.
I've got a better question ... why don't you read the posts in this very thread BEFORE asking a question that has already been ASKED AND ANSWERED TWICE?
my question is even better: WHY DO YOU FOCKING CARE? you were not part of this thread so you have not even been getting emails to this as people reply. You actually took time to reply to this thread to yell at someone. another one of you who needs to get a life. (now am i as cool as you because i yelled at you? - i hope so.)
Good question ... guess I just needed an outlet for some other frustrations, and the ridiculous redundancy put me over the edge. The fact that the question was asked again in the same thread is absurd, but perhaps I was too harsh.
listen man, you need to get rid of your attitude, no one's perfect.... i read the posts but my brain must've blocked out that part for some reason, everyone makes mistakes, so calm down. thanks for understaind mrsocks...
YEAH IT DOES HAVE POLYPHONIC RINGTONES BUT can any one find any ringtones to download for the lgvx3100
