Bloody f ing brilliant! I've been saying they needed to do this for years... I always figured Motorola would do it but hey, good job LG! From the mobileburn article... "LG recently showed a new CDMA handset for the people in their home Korean market that are looking for something very, very simple. The new LG NS1000 targets, among others, the elderly and other people that just want a phone to be a phone. The NS1000 might also appeal to the "retro cool" crowd, though I think this phone might be a little too "retro" and not enough "cool" for modern mobile phone users." More
Hey Rancid, nice to see you in this part of the neighborhood... also thanks for the info on this interesting looking LG, i actually like how it looks, now who knows if we're going to ever see this phone here in the states, you how most of the best phones go to Euorpe, Asia, or GSM.....lol
A very good move on LG's part, indeed! Tony's right... VZW will definitely NOT get this phone as it cannot access their beloved GIN so they can get a few more buck$ from all of u$. Great find, rancid!
Too bad Verizon probably won't pick this one up.. Even my Stepfather could operate this thing. that's all he likes anyway...simple and easy. He's a simple guy.
I'm sure that there would be a big market here for a simple easy to use phone, too bad it's not likely to be released here..
I was looking at the picture...and if that is your typical Asian female holding the phone in her hand than that phone is TINY!!!.
Sure this is a simple phone and some people would like to have such an easy phone....BUT we're in America where the bigger, faster, and more elaborate things are the better. That's just how our society is. I'm sure we won't be seeing a phone like this in the near future because most would view it as "too outdated."...just my opinion.
Remember those days when a phone was just a phone? I miss those days.....bring back the old grey moto flip phones that were the size of a brick!!!
Yeah right. I disagree. People here could care less about all the bells and whistles. Why do you think none of the advanced devices from Korea and Japan ever gets released here? Back onto the topic of the phone, it does look interesting. If I could get my hands on it, I'd buy it for my parents.
I'm sure that my parents would be a good candidates for this phone also... I miss my old motorola brick that had about 20 minutes of talk time on a three hour charge!
talk about Candybar phones, check out the one LG is going to give Sprint... the LG PM325 which also has a sliding mechanism. http://sprintpcsinfo.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=536
