So I have MP3 enabled my phone and set the front play button to play the MP3's... but is there any other "cheats" that can be done with this phone, or any other neat tricks?? Also, where can we get ringtones for less than $1.99 (GetItNow)?? Can you use the MP3's you upload as ringtones? How?
To piggyback onto fL's post...do I really need the Essential Kit to upload my own music from my PowerBook to my phone? Or can I play them directly using a microSD card? I've already MP3 enabled my phone as well. Also, I've noticed that my iTunes saves my music as .m4p files...will the MP3 software in the phone recognize this type of file? If I need to convert the file, what is the best way of doing it? Thanks in advance!
I get my MicroSD card in the mail soon!! I would think you would need it because you need a way to attach your phone to your computer. I don't see how else you could transfer the songs from one to the other? All my songs i downloaded from CDs or LimeWire and they're all .mp3 so I'm not sure about anything else.
Laur...if you purchase a microSD reader for like $10, then you don't need the cabe or the Music Essentials Kit at all!! I did figure out that .mp4's are the encryption that Apple uses to protect their music downloaded from the iTunes store, so I'm outta luck for those, but my CDs can be converted to .mp3's, so I'm back in business....
Consider my post on why you should use wmas instead of mp3s on your vx8300. __________________________ See this website for many more tips, tricks, hacks, and mods for the LG VX8300. It has information on Bluetooth, music playing, video recording, BitPim, and more.
Well I don't listen to more than 20 songs at a time so it isn't a big deal to sort through the MP3 list thing. And I make the file names all nice & pretty too. So far no complaints.
