What are the 3 buttons on the front, and how do you use them?

They are for the mp3 player, and you need to go to Verizon store and have the firmware updated before they become active.

less static is the major one, but also w/o the upgrade, I have heard the bluetooth device would have to be sometimes repaired with the phone

Call Verizon about the upgrade. I know it activates the external buttons, the MP3 player. It's a definite improvement!
