Hey everyone. Anyone know what might be causing this terrible problem? I went to send a text message and suddenly, the phone restarted and kept restarting, over and over. The only way to stop it was to yank out the battery. And upon reinsertion of the battery and powering on of the phone, the same nonesense occurs, rendering the device useless. I tried switching the battery and the problem still remains. I've had the phone since May, so it's too late for the waranty. If anyone knows what the problem might be, it would be greatly appricated.
Did you take your phone into a Verizon store to have a tech look at it? It sounds to me like you have a problem with the phone itself, and not the battery. Have you ever dropped your phone? When did you get the phone? Has it been having problems since you got it? If it has, I would have taken it back the day you bought it. I am not an expert on phones, but a free software update to the phone could fix it. I am not sure. Welcome to WA bker.
I too had a similar problem with my VX7000 but only after it got slight moist after taking it in the bathroom while i showered. I just took the battery off for like the night then charged it the next morning and havent had a reoccurence yet! Hope this helps!
Welcome to WirelessAdvisor! If you've had the phone since May 2005, then it's not too late for the warranty, since it's 1 year from when you purchased it, and even afte that, unless you dropped it in water, a tech should look at it, and if you're lucky, offer you a replacement.
