    Hello everyone...

I have been tearing my hair out (figuratively speaking of course) trying to get a bluetooth headset to work with my VX8300...I currently have the Plantronics 510, which I was told would be great.....nope!

Okay, so I contacted LG and asked them what they recommend. They suggested the LG line of headsets....the HBM-300, HBM-500, and the i-style.

Has anyone tried these headsets? Do they really work with the VX8300? I like the phone otherwise....

    HELP!

Of course LG would recommend LG brand headsets, more sales for them. However, Bluetooth is a universal standard so your Plantronics headset should work just fine with the LG phone.

Can you describe the issues you are having? Are you unable to pair the devices? Do you get static? I have heard very good things about Plantronics headsets so perhaps if you could describe the issue(s) you are having, we could try and help troubleshoot them.

Okay...well...pairing them isn't an issue....neither is getting static. The sound quality is wonderful.

Here's the list of problems I'm having:

    1) After every other call, the phone will disconnect from the BT headset about 30 secs after the call ends.

    2) About every 3rd call, I'll have multiple drops of the BT headset from the phone during the call.

    3) Upon trying to call someone through the BT headset, I'll be able to call out and the client can hear me, but the receiving audio stays with the phone rather than being transferred to the headset, so unless I open and talk into the phone, I can't hear the caller (this is intermittent).

    What I've done:

    1) Gotten the v03 upgrade (as previously stated)
    2) Repair the BT headset with the phone
    3) Reset the BT headset

The results never change and I'm getting frustrated. Any help you can give me would be appreciated!

Jodi have you tried uninstalling the headset and pairing it with your phone again?

Yep...several times....both before and after resetting the headset. Still, I get the same disappointing results.:(

You may also want to try the headset with another cellphone, it could also be your handset.

I have a Motorola BT headset and have a somewhat similar issue. From time to time, I can hear over the BT, but they cannot hear me. I'm not usually fast enough to open my phone to try talking into it, but I think I HAVE tried that once or twice with no success. It appears that my talking is simply being lost.

I don't know if this helps, but I have a Motorola H700 bluetooth headset that I use with my LG VX9900 with no problems.

It might just be the headset and the phone that do not get along.
