Hey man with Sprint PCS all you have to do is call 611 (customer service) and ask them to flag your account for a PRL update
10024 did exsist. I had it for about 3 months. The only PRL's that didn't exsist were 10016 and 10022 I believe. Sprint skipped over these for some reason only known to them.
I also had 10024...but once I heard 10025 came out (I think you posted the new PRL larry on WA), then I updated both of our phones.
OK. So, I called sprint. got my PRL update flag. called *2 and got the update and restarted my Curve.... So... now... where do I look to see the version of the PRL I just downloaded? Thanks! Ian
Not sure if it works on all phones but I usually hit ##786# and then ok to view phone info. This has worked on every phone I have used but I have never used a BB.
I don't know if it will work on your BB, but you can try holding down the shift key or alt. I forget what its called, but on my Pearl its in the lower right corner. lol. Hold that and press EACE (only once if its a sure type keypad) and it should pop-up a menu. You can try checking that way.
so how is it that you update your phone, I always just took it to a store...please let me know, I am new at this stuff
you have to call customer service and tell them that you need to do a PRL update......they will flag your account.......you hang up from that call and dial *2 from your Sprint phone and then it will tell you to hold while it downloads the PRL to your phone whats the smartphone one.......mine's reading 60611 and no joke......for a while on my RAZR the PRL was updating itself.......kinda weird
my mom's Samsung M320 (vision) has 50512 my Samsung ACE (Power Vision has 60613 and I have to say that I'm amazed that Sprint has added an option to the menus of it's phones to select a menu option and it downloads the new PRL via data exactly like firmware updates
I noticed that my VE20 had 60614, but my V950 has 60613 and when I attempt to upgrade the PRL I am told there are no updates available. No big deal, but weird nonetheless.
