As I am sitting out on my porch right now I am having just a little hard time seeing my screen as the sun is washing it out. Anyways is there a computer that is made to not wash out in the sunlight? Or is there any product I can buy that wont do this?
I've seen some kind of a "film" (transparent plastic thing) that you can attach to monitors to help reduce the glare, but I don't know if they really help or not. I just prefer to avoid sunlight :evillaugh
Wirelessly posted (Walkguru's: Opera/9.50 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.1.11328/308; U; en)) i have that problem as well. hopfully its that easy.
I've been wanting to try that film, I might go and get some later this week and try it out, I also heard its good with glare inside. My brother has a Panasonic Toughbook that looks great in the sunlight. Recently, he accidently spilled some water on the keyboard. All we had to do was pop off the keys and clean out the water and all was fine. The downside to it is that it doesn't have a CD drive.
Motion Computing makes tablets with daylight readable screens. The screens do get warm because they are extra bright, but they can be read in sunlight. I have seen private pilots use the Motion Computing tablets for GPS.
