L87: Alerts - Searchmummy Alert???

    I need some help from you all to find out what text messaging service this is. They keep charging a line on my family plan $10 a month for their so called service. The only thing Sprint can say is it's thrid party, which I already know. And I am not around the device (BB) to dig into it. The person dose not fully understand how to use his BB, and is forgetfull. Any help on this would be great. TIA!!! :)

    I found the site that the service is from thanks to this post found below. It looks shady as described in the post, and when talking to the user he mentioned he never signed up for anything. So beware of wierd text and charges on your bill. [​IMG]

    If you look up the WHOIS on searchmummy.com you get this:

    It is private, but if you look at the Domain servers at the bottom you see GAME-CHEATS-MASTER.COM

    Go to that site (I don't want to link to them here), and it is a service that bills cell phones.

    There seem to be some instructions on that page about how to unsubscribe from the service.

    Thanks for the additional info JFB. I was able to unsubscribe his number from the searchmummy site. I also sent them a email to unsubscribe too.

    To everyone having issues with this "Service", please be advised that this is a scam!! I never subscribed for this service and my account was being charged! Don't waste your time calling, texting or e-mailing them, they don't stop, they text you and e-mail saying they will..... but they don't. Forget calling them, you are on hold for a LIFETIME!

    I called my provider (Sprint) and notified them of my problem. Not only were they able to block further charges from this company, they even refunded me the last charge! I hope this will help anyone having this problem.
