Hi all. I don't know how many of you have this phone or have really checked it out, but if you could help me that would be great. I just got the KRZR last night and one of the first things I did was look on the phone in the menu under Settings and Tools to see if it said the phone had 64MB as I had been told it would have and even what Phone Scoop said it had. It was displayed as having 17.84MB Available and a Total Used of 1.66MB. Whats going on? I thought this phone had 64MB.

Is there a hidden setting showing a the rest of the memory?

    Please help.

The 64 MB is external on the Micro SD card.

Thanks for helping me out Yankee! Does this external 64MB card come with the phone? I didn't see one in the box. Or is it in the phone already. I thought you had to purchase a card.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks again!!

Thanks again Yankee! Are there any Verizon users who have the 64Mb card included. I sure don't have it.

It should be listed under the memory where the phone memory is litsted if it were there. Unless someone else knows of location I should look to find the card.

    Thanks

Well, well, well. After about twenty minutes with a Cust Srvs rep for Veriozon, I got the truth.

I asked if this phone came with the 64MB card included because i know someone who has this same phone from Sprint and the card came included. After putting me on hold for 10 minutes and apparently much research the guy returns to tell me that he read some notes where there is 20MB internal and that's it. He then reads the notes to me and they say something to the effect of there is a non-usable or a dummy chip in the slot and the user can purchase their own chip and he listed the MB available for sale. He was nice and encouraged me to use my employee discount to purchase a 1Gig chip.

    Wow Verizon. That sucks.

i have found out the hard way, that phone scoop is a cool place to see the latest and greatest handsets...but it is not always accurate on its info, because the carriers can dictate what they want in the phones...and what they want the phones to include. i always check them out on the website or ask the rep. So I can't really blame the carrier if phone scoop says it has something it doesn't...but i feel your pain. Check with the store manager @ the location you purchased it...let that person know what happened..maybe they will discount a 256 or 512 card for you.

Original6 thanks for your input. I can get a discount on an SD card through my job so I think I'll do that. I did speak to a rep. again and they were all apologetic and stuff, but they never did represent that the phone came with 64MB that was Motorola.

Right now, I'm trying to get my husband to take my KRZR so i can use his upgrade to get the red KRZR for me. :D It sure looks nice and I couldn't believe they came out with such an awesome color.

I hear you on that one. I thought that same thing at first. But since I got this little baby in my hand it has been great. I quickly got used to it and I love it.

My poor husband is in need of a new phone so bad, he just said oh, the hell with it and give me the KRZR. In October he'll use my new every two and get a better phone for himself, but for now, he'll use this one. I get the red KRZR. That thing is sweet.
