Yes, I believe so. My Moto L2 charges the phone from a USB connection to my pc.

cool, i bought a krazr and it comes with a free usb cable and motorola tools cd. but i like to keep a charger at work and one at home, if the usb does the job i won't order a second charger. if the usb definatley does not charge then i wouldn't mind ordering a second

From what I could tell at www.motorola.com for the krzr accessories, it looked/sounded like the chargers have the mini-USB plug. That's the same as the L2, and mine charges from the pc, so I believe your's will also. :)

In order for your phone to charge you'll have to install MPT for it to work.

Is this for all phones? Or just the Krzr? Because I don't have MPT, and my V3xx (as well as my V3) charge(d) when plugged into my computer's USB.

Your phone will charge via the usb cable even if you don't have anything installed (I.E. MPT) I do the same thing you do, charger is at home, usb cable at work....

I'm sure yours does.....i've tried that and my phones never charged until i installed the MPT drivers onto my PC, just got a new Razr v3x, and i also had to configured MPT in order for that one to charge as well, had to do the same on my work PC.
A friend of mine had the same problem and until we installed MPT he's phone would not charge.

Others at Hofo and CPF have had the same problem, so this is not out of the ordinary.

that's odd that they require the software for charging.... just one more way to make some money i guess.... my new KRZR worked/started charging the first time I pluged it in.... great info, thanks

    lol....

Exactly, it takes drivers for your phone to be recognized, even if it's not MPT.
