As a replacement for my PM-225 that's developed the known continuous power cycling issue. I'm charging it right now and will post my review in a few days or so.

Let us know how you like that. My friend's mom is considering that phone as an upgrade to her current Sanyo phone.

Cool, I know you were looking into it a few weeks ago. Definitely let us know how it goes. Did you pay full price and thus get screwed out of $150 for another 24 months? I'm sorry....Sprint really needs to do something about that crap. My rate plan is so cheap I don't care about the $150 though, I can be contract-free (and just pay full retail) for life on that plan as far as I'm concerned :)

Yes I had to pay the full price and won't qualify for another 12 or 24 months for a rebate. But I don't care I didn't want to wait another 4 months.

 Can't wait for the review!

Sprint's rebate program is horrible, but lucky for me they don't have anything that comes close to my 6700. :)

So far I have noticed some nice improvements over the 225. Text messaging and picturemail sending is much faster than that of the 225. It adds voice SMS. There's now the ability to force digital roaming instead of only analog. earpiece volume and sound quality are very good and simialr to that of the 225. I like the feel of the keypad and rounds buttons better than the keypad of the 225. Text messaging and typing are easier to do on this one. I've been hearing that battery life is improved as well so I'm hoping that's true. I haven't used the 1.3 megapixel camera yet but anything will be better than the crappy camera of the 225. :D

I started a Yahoo group for this phone.

Oh and I was able to get the $36 upgrade activation fee waived. :)

A couple other nice changes with the 350 as opposed to the 225:

    1) picturemail now sends the picture directly to the phone as opposed to having to use Vision and connect to the web to view pics.

    2) The internal screen loses those terrible border bars at top and bottom of the screen and allows to use the camera and screensavers with a full screen.

LG really has a winner this time!

    Thanks for the updates, Larry...

I'm eying this one. If I understand correctly, there's still no way to download camera pics directly from the phone to a PC, like you can do with the Samsung A920. You HAVE to go through Picture Mail to get them transferred to your PC, eh?

Actually it appears like you can download pics from the phone to the PC. It has the pictbridge function right in the menu. I haven't used it yet to say for sure if it works. I know you can print pictures right from the phone to a printer.

Sounds like a possible software bug. Expect an update in the near future.

assuming it supports FOTA (the 325 did, I know.. and the 225 did too didn't it?) you won't even have to go to the store to have the firmware update done! That's one feature I wish Verizon would launch.

    Yes the 225 dose FOTA.

Verizon may not be able to do it. But at least they have *228. :)

Actually the FOTA on the PM-225 doesn't work anymore. It did when the phone first came out but since then Sprint has stopped deploying updates for it.

Let's hope that the LX-350 has better FOTA.

:browani: the LX350 belongs in the trash right next to the other low end lg's

I'll stick to selling nokia motorola and sanyo's ...

That's all that touches my hands...

A customer comes in with something else and tries to hand it to me I back up...won't touch em

Wow strong words there. What makes you say that LG's belong in the trash? I agree with you that some LG's suck. The PM-225 had the potential to be a good lower end phone but it was riddled with software bugs from the start that LG and Sprint were extremely slow to fix. But I have yet to find any bugs on the LX-350.

I don't quite get why Sprint relegates LG's to the lower end of their phone heirarchy whereas with Verizon, they're available from the low end all the way up to the high end. Does Sprint have something against them or is it some sort of preferential treatment towards Sanyo and Samsung? Granted, Sprint had the MM-535, which was a higher-end phone but outside of that they're generally relegated to the lower and middle end of the phone lineup.

Yeah but that was then. There's been a new version for it (V12) that can't be obtained OTA because Sprint suddenly stopped deploying it for some unknown reason.

My GF and I both had 225's. Niether one of them could get any version past V09 OTA.

Hi all. I'm new here. Also just got a new lx-350. Overall, I like the phone and I am happy with it's features but I am disappointed that I cannot transfer files (pics and ringtones) from PC to phone. Sure, phone has bluetooth but after paying $30 for a USB bluetooth adapter I found that these files cannot be transferred because OBEX is not supported. Sort of misleading on Sprint's part. My other option would be to spend another $10 or so on a data cable but there is no phone sync software (another $30) that supports the lx-350. I guess if I would have known this I probably would have chosen a different Carrier and different phone.

If I'm missing something and anyone knows a little more about this, please reply. Thanks.

Sprint is working on a software update for this phone that might fix that problem.

Hi All--I'm a new SprintPCS customer and I also got a new LG-LX-350 phone. I really like it--but I noticed that when I'm talking on the phone, or when it's being charged--the phone feels really hot to the touch...it just seems hotter than any other in-use cell phone I've ever tried. Has anyone else experienced this?

If the pics are formatted properly can you use one of the many free file uploaders that are available online? They send you a text message with a link that takes you online to download your own pic.

This has also been my experience with a Sprint LG phone I owned about 3 years or so ago as well as an LG VX6000 I used on Verizon. They tend to get warm anyways during a call, but when you are also charging them they often get alarmingly warm.

Re: Thanks for the updates, Larry...

    Hey Yinz,

I got me one of these LX350 doohickies, and I'd love to synch my phonebook with the PC (even if it's only Outlook), and transfer pictures, ringtones, other stuff as well.

Apparently the driver isn't available yet. I use FutureDial's SnapSync software, and it worked fine with my previous two phones (Samsung A600, before that, N460).

This phone is much more intuitive. Say I call someone, and get no answer, or a voicemail. I can then bring up the previous number, and then get the other numbers for that contact without having to first search for the contact.

Similarly, it has a feature called "Recent Calls" which mixes missed/incoming/outgoing calls on one list.

New drivers yet to transfer pics to PC??

I'm trying to transfer the pictures and phonebook from my wife's no-longer-on-the-network LX350 onto my PC. I purchased a data cable from eforcity.com that claimed you could do that very thing. They apparently were not truthful about this. I see that DataPilot now supposedly supports this phone- anyone else have any luck transferring pics/files/etc. on the LX350?
