I got the SX66 this morning . I have been playing with it all day, it's been a lot of fun. It's a little awkward to hold as a phone for too long but I don't usually talk on the phone for long periods of time either. Surprisingly good reception & voice quality all over town and at home. It dropped one call while I was driving but it is awful weather today, so I will check it out tomorrow at the same spot. Just wanted to share
Man it's like everyone has been getting a new toy. I got one too, the Motorola ROKR E1, it's really awesome!
Charlyee, if you're interested in experimenting with upgrading the SX66's ROM or any other files, go over to XDA-Developers.com. They have the best info on all of the different PocketPCs made by HTC, they are marketed under different names by T-Mobile and other providers outside of the US. http://www.xda-developers.com http://forum.xda-developers.com http://wiki.xda-developers.com/
Hey. My NE2 is October6th. I am 90% surew that the e815 will be MY new toy BUT there are some really sweet thi8ngs coming down the pipe so I may hold off for a month or two. Enjoy your toys people.
That is THE place to go for GSM PPC users. I just love streaming KNAC.COM on my 6600, it's like I am in High School again.
Ah but there are some things for those CDMA PPCers as well. Where do you get your stuff from, budney?
Yes, I know theur is some stuff on the CDMA versions. I need to look around, but I am still getting the feel for the device.
Thanks much everyone. Unfortunately the SX66 did not work out for me. It was not the device but more the way I wanted to use it. I got the Nokia 6682 instead. I posted a short review on it in the Nokia Forum.
Using a PPC takes some getting used to. After all, you gotta use whatever works for you . Enjoy the 6682...
I was wondering about that post in the Nokia forum. If Sprint had a Symbian device I would sell my 6600 today. It is the best smartphone OS out their. Enjoy that 6682!
I agree completely, I've never seen so many apps for any other smartphone OS. I don't mind having both, I like my MDA II but would take a GSM/UMTS Symbian OS phone any day. For the moment, I'm happy with what I have.
