I am the excited new owner of a used 8125 - FedEx says it should come tomorrow. Wish I could stay home from work to wait for it.

I am looking for any general advice about awesome accesories or programs and have a few specific questions:
    1. I have a cingular 64K smartchip that I am going to use - do I need to advise cingular of my new phone? Will my ringtones/wallpaper/etc transfer with my chip? Is there anything I should know not to do when switching?

    2. My husband got a USB Bluetooth adaptor on rebate at Frys (D-Link DBT-120) can I use this to wirelessly sinc my new phone?

    3. I would like to be able to sync at work and at home. At work - no problem. At home - DH syncs his Palm with Hotsync. Will trying to sync both devices fry my computer's brain? Will installing activesync mess with his Hotsync?

    4. Anyone recommend a good case? I was looking at the metal case at thepocketsolution. Anyone have an opinion or superior alternative?

Thanks for any information - I can hardly wait.. Oh, yeah, anyone want to buy a pristine darth vader black razr?

    Cheers:)

No, Cingular doesn't need to know. No, ringtones/wallpaper/etc are not stored in the SIM--just names and phone numbers. Don't leave phones on (most phones are designed so that you must remove battery to access SIM).
Seems so, by the D-Link site.
No, I don't think so. Besides, aren't you and DH separate users on this computer?
We have a for sale section, where it could draw more attention.

The original case (leather) that comes with it is excellent. COtech basically answers every other question, Hotsync and ActiveSync running at the same time is a very bad idea, however, if you have seperate user accounts it should be ok to run one and not the other on a per user basis.

How much you want for the V3? I think I know someone who may be interested.

I came home for lunch to wait for FedEx. the van pulled up just as I was headed back to work.

I am up and runnig for a few hours - I can sync with bluetooth! Just associated with my wireless Lan at home! and I am trying to get my email configured.

    I'll keep you updated.
