    I'm not sure of the last time I've seen Windows 98 (arguably one of the most popular Windows versions) but Windows 7 is definitely everywhere. It's a bit worrisome that something as easily hackable as Windows 7 will continue to be used by doctors without security updates.

    Oh no this only means that I need to upgrade the old PC back home to Window's 10 before January 14.

    No, it just means that you won't have updates and support for older OS's after that date. Nothing will happen on that date to your system. However, you should upgrade as soon as you can, as a system that doesn't get regular security patches is vulnerable to exploits.

    That's a disaster waiting to happen. I bet half of these businesses don't have a robust backup procedure set up either.
