I got this from my aunt this am. I sent it to Charlyee and she liked it :browani: I've done it now about 5 times and I even switched numbers in the middle and it still got it! I think it does read your mind! Have fun! http://www.learnenglish.org.uk/games/magic-gopher-central.swf
I wonder how it is done? When I was in school I used to do science fair projects on mind reading and telekenesis, and even found subjects that could be correct 80% of the time. I don't see how this works though. -Jay
The only thing I can think of is that people may inadvertently be using their mouse to scan through the numbers and it is somehow picking up on that.
That's was my first thought, and I was pointing with my mouse at the picture, so the next time I consciously kept may hands on the table and didn't touch the mouse, keyboard etc., and it still got it. I actually don't want to know how it is done, I had too much fun with it and knowing the science behind it will spoil some of that, at least for me... BTW, Kelli thanks very much for sending it to me.
I know doesn't it! :browani: That bad Ryan! I never moved the mouse from the spot ..... ???? Your welcome! I'm glad it tickled some people's fancy. Yep I did everything to trick it too! I even made up 5 different numbers and then switched to a different signal while it was getting ready to flip the card over and it GOT IT!!!! Smart little buggers. I'm just sorry it's driving Ryan mad! :lmao: he he he
Another thing I noticed is that there are 23 different symbols, and they are used multiple times. I also noticed that the symbols are shuffled every time so the same symbol is not used for the same number. -jay
No matter what number you pick, it'll always end up as a multiple of 9. Now notice that every multiple of 9 has the same symbol. IF you do this right, it will always work.
I can't believe it is that simple. I knew it was something mathmatical, I just hadn't figured it our yet. -Jay
Explanation: The number you choose has a ten's digit and a one's digit, so N = 10x + y. The next step tells you to subtract the sum of the digits from the number, so M = N - (x + y) = (10x + y) - (x + y) = 9x. Then the table uses the same number for every multiple of 9, which your new number is guaranteed to be.
Well this suits me just fine now and yeah it really was bothering me I told me wife about it and she laughed,.
