That's not bad then. I remember wires for an old motorola phone being like $65 bucks, think it might have been for a starTac, not sure.
We could sit here and debate prices on E-bay forever, let alone someone mention that if a friend had two he could give you one for free. The point is sometimes the OEM cables tend to be a bit pricey for what they are. Just remember what happened to the nokia people with non-OEM batteries..
The Moto V710 has already been released via Radioshack/Verizon. I wish I could feel better about the Moto V710 release but have already read other opinions on it and as usual, Verizon and Motorola are a pairing unlike any others in the dissatisfaction department. When will they get it right? Many are already complaining about the earpiece volume, something as basic as that. Numerous sites are already describing the bluetooth feature as crippling. As usual with Motorola, many are also annoyed by the lack of intelligent functioning of phone setup features - illogical and cumbersome. For instance, having to move hand back and forth across the phone pad when doing so, when most incorporate multiple pushing of same button to do so or one close by. Many have not liked the size - too big and antenna-too long (8 inches). The much ballyhooed 1.2 Pixel Camera has dissappointed nearly eveyone. Most saying the LG VX7000 looks as good if not better. If fact if they had included a speakerphone on th LG VX 7000, I can't think of anyone who'd buy the V710 over it. The forums and articles I've read which make a comparison of the 2 Phones make that abundantly clear, and Verizon, well they're another story.
One important reason for the v710 for me is I must have Analog mode. several places I go, including the desert when camping for a week have no digital service. The phone is a lifeline if needed, and without analog I have no outside contact in emergencies. I would not consider a digital only phone at this time.
Well i bought the v710 over the 7000, i was going to get the 7000, went in verizon store, played with it, was not impressed at all, the phone is ugly and bulky and i just didnt like how the menus were set up. The v710 takes beautiful outdoor pics, and has a great speakerphone. Yes the earpiece could be louder, but it's not like you can't hear the people you're talking to, I can hear everyone loud and clear. And an awesome feature on this phone that the 7000 doesn't have is a TransFlash card, you can store mp3's, pictures, wallpaper on this phone without having to go through GIN. It's easy and works like a charm, that is one of the top features for me!
