i just called cingular cause my WAP is not working. i use pay-per-use. they told me that they have changed their plans, so they do not offer WAP pay-per-use anymore, and that if i want to do that, i have to switch to GPRS...

are they lieing? GPRS is too expensive, i want to use my minutes instead of paying per kilobite! that is the whole point as to why i have roll over minutes!

The rep had no idea what he/she was talking about. Cingular dose still have Wireless Internet (WI), which uses CSD & uses your plan minutes. The cost is an extra $3.99 a month. It is actually better to sign up for Wireless Internet Express (WIX) Pay-Per-Use, That uses GPRS and charges by the KB, as it gives you WI as a back-up for free. Then you just force your phone to use WI. :)

i knew it, she was lieing to me!!! hehehehehe.

anyway, a quick question for you: she did put me in GPRS, and i can log in, no problem. but when i switch to CSD, i cannot log in. the phone keeps saying "connecting..." until it loses the connection and tells me to try again.

    what could be the problem??
