I have a V3 RAZR that I got last August, and my carrier is Verizon...and I think my phone is starting to kick the bucket. I don't have a warantee or anything like that on it, and I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on fixing it before I bring it into a Verizon store (or so I can completely avoid the mall during the holiday season :O) A few weeks ago, the outside screen started randomly jumbling (half the screen would be upside down, reflecting the top, etc), which would fix upon opening the phone and then closing it again. Around this same time I began having problems with making calls and sending texts, it would say "calling..." but never switch to "connected" and it sould say "sending text" but nothing would happen. Usually turning off/turning on the phone again would fix this problem. A couple days ago, things started getting weirder. The outside display works once in a while, the phone randomly shuts off, I rarely get incoming calls, and when I do the call ID says "unknown" even if the number is in my contacts. Four people called me this afternoon, but my phone did not even ring once, and I had no missed calls...I only found out that they had called me because I tried to send a text, it didn't work, I restarted the phone, and then it told me I had 4 new voicemails and two new texts! What's the point of having a phone if it's not capable of ringing? Anyways, my real question is, is my phone FUBAR, or can it be fixed? I'd rather not have to pay for a new phone if possible...but I have the sinking feeling that my relationship with my V3 is coming to an end
i think your phone is pretty FUBAR but you may as well head to the mall now rather than wait any longer. braving the holiday crowds is better than missing important phone calls because your phone is jacked. besides, since it's the holiday season, you may be able to get a sweet deal on a new phone.:browani:
Its not the Razr... its Verizons bastardization of the Motorola firmware... They butcher the original software, and darn near render bluetooth useless... CDMA ... Creating Disfunctional Mobile Accessories
