Hello. I have noticed that the Sanyo 5300 can only have 6 ringtones and 11 images when downloading from the computer using the USB data cable under PC Sync. Is there a way you can have more ringtones and more images on the 5300? The Sanyo 5000, you could have downloaded as many images and ringtones available by memory. Then assigning them, the maximum limit for ringtones was 18 and 22 for images. By the way, I am using the SnapMedia which limits to six ringtones and eleven images. Snapmedia says the six ringtones has to be less than 20Kb or one ringtone that is less than 100Kb. Okay, let say you have six ringtones that is 19Kb. That total space is 114Kb. That is larger than one big ringtone which has to be less than 100Kb. I think the SnapMedia is limiting the number of ringtones being downloaded. Not because of memory space. Anyone know a way around it using the data cable??

The "PC Sync" software you're referring to is FutureDial's SnapMedia (aka Sprint's PCS Multimedia Master Software), correct?

I've seen this problem on the 4900 as well (and other people as well). What I was able to do was to shut everything down (software, phone, etc.), restart, and load a few more. Usually the problem came up when trying to load too many ringers at one time. When I loaded only two or three at a time, I was able to get past the pseudo error messages and get all the other ringers loaded (I currently have 15 ringers, and 7 images).

You can also use a free web site (e.g., PCSpix.com) to post images and ringers on the web, and then download them to your phone -- thereby circumventing the SnapMedia software. You can still use SnapMedia to crop, convert, etc. the files. You can find the final handywork of this program stored in the directory where SnapMedia program was installed (e.g., C:\Program Files\FutureDial\SnapMedia).

I tried only uploading two ringtones to my Sanyo 5300 at a time. But it still gave me an error saying the phone has too many ringtones. I guess the maximum ringtones is six only transferring from the computer with the data cable that is. By the way, I am using the Futuredial's Snapmedia to transfer my ringtones. To crop pictures using Snapmedia isn't too bad. Would be nice if there was other features like color correction, or inputing texts. I guess I do that in Photoshop. By the way, anyone able to have more than eleven pictures using Snapmedia with the data cable?? Is there a way to have text on the background just like the Sanyo 5000? The Sanyo 5000 lets you put texts right on the background pictures. I can do the same using Photoshop but it's just takes extra steps to do that.
